This is now my canon

I'm in a lyneyther mood again for the first time since Fontaine dropped and I need to vomit out my headcanons/thoughts about them real quick

- Lyney and Lynette were def tasked by Arlecchino to rope the Traveler into dealing with the prophecy

- and they were both pretty excited to meet him, but wanted to keep their distance for obvious reasons. They were just trying to do their job and save Fontaine, nothing more

- but then surprise (not really)! Aether is really nice! And cool! And selfless and sweet and the twins actually like being around him! They want to befriend him for real now!

- I like to think that Lyney also had an "oh no he's hot! D:" moment

- The look of greatfulness in Aether's eyes after Lyney saved him from getting arrested 🥺

- Lyney and Lynette gave Aether a VIP seat that's usually reserved for celebrities and rich people, which is how he ended up next to Neuvillette

- Nobody was surprised when Aether was willing to defend the twins after the accident, but Lyney's heart still nearly exploded with fondness and admiration

- This is when his crush started to develop. And boy did it develop FAST

- Aether never looks at Lyney and Lynette the same way again. His smile was gone, and the light in his eyes dimmed. When they talk after the trial, it's clear that Aether just wants to gtfo and get away from them.

- After that, Lyney was on the verge of crying and Lynette was even more withdrawn than usual. To make matters worse, they had to get over it immediately because they still had work to do.

- Aether didn't even care that they were Fatui (In fact, he does try to be nice to House of Hearth members because he can't help but feel sad thinking of Katarina and the others like her.) He just felt betrayed that they lied to him. Plus, he's very jaded at this point, so he's way less forgiving to the twins than he was to Zhongli or Childe 3 years ago.

- He did really want to be their friend though </3

- Whenever he was out in the city, Lyney desperately kept his eyes peeled for golden hair or a fairy dressed in white. Just any sign of Aether. However, Aether wasn't even in the city most of the time because he was out exploring Elynias and such.

- The two did patch things up a bit during and after Lyney's story quest, but their friendship still wasn't the same as it was before. They wouldn't see each other again until Aether got arrested.

- I like to think that Aether learned a lot about flower symbolism from Venti and Xingqiu :) He definitely knew what the rainbow rose symbolizes.

- That little mutual "!!!" they did when they saw each other in jail :)

- Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet were all happy to be able to work with Aether again, yet when they found out why he was there, they couldn't help but wonder "Why does he care about Master Childe so much, but refuse to even look at us?"

- If there's one thing Lyney and Aether understand about each other, its the need to be a loving and protective older brother. Aether was absolutely ready to MAUL Wriothesley on Lyney's behalf for putting Lynette and Freminet in danger.

- Aether finds it refreshing whenever he sees Lyney's more real and vulnerable side. He knows the magician persona he puts on most of the time is an act and he hates it.

Genshin Impact - Lyney x Aether

A/N: I know I'm a few days late, but I'm at the end of my semester, so be nice to me and let this one slide off

Summary: Lyney shows Aether his new magic trick

Word count: 827 words

“Traveler ~” Lyney sang, waving his hand high above his head as he spotted Aether. The Serenitea Pot wasn’t that large, but the pocket dimension seemed to be big enough to make their encounters a little harder than Lyney expected - not to mention the other people wandering around from time to time.

Having his attention picked by Lyney’s voice, Aether turned his head back and watched Lyney approaching him with a happy facade while holding something behind his back. What would he be up to this time, the traveler thought.

“Did you call me, Lyney?” Aether said, leaning his back on the couch’s back while watching Lyney walking around to stand in front of him, winking charmingly at him.

“Of course I did, mon chéri,” the magician continued, now holding whatever it was behind his back with both hands. “I came up with a new magic trick and you happen to be the perfect assistant to help me practice it, so here I am, asking for your aid.”

Aether rolled his eyes with a soft chuckle. He and Lyney had been getting… a little closer since he arrived in Fontaine. It was hard to tell when the magician was flirting for real with him or just jesting to keep their relationship interesting, but Aether liked the casualty of the whole thing. Right now, he couldn’t tell which one it was - truth to be told, it was always hard to know what was going on inside Lyney’s mind.

Sighing, Aether stood up, lazily stretching his arms as if to get prepared for the upcoming action. “Alright, what do I have to do?” The traveler asked, noticing how his words made Lyney beam with excitement.

The magician finally revealed what he had in his hands: a pocky box. He had heard of a new candy getting popular among the people in Fontaine, but didn’t have the chance to try one for himself yet. “A pocky?”

“My dear, isn’t it too soon to jump to conclusions?” Lyney scolded him lightheartedly, shaking his head in “disapproval”. “I didn’t even have time to set up the stage, why such a hurry?”

“Fine,” Aether muttered, crossing his arms, waiting for the magician to continue. Lyney, making sure to put up a whole performance around each and every act, pulled one pocky from the box, looking to Aether.

“Now, my dearest assistant, say ‘ahhh’ to me,” Lyney cooed, holding the pocky in front of Aether’s lips with the tip of his fingers. The traveler blushed slightly, swallowing dry as he tried to ignore the way his heart skipped a bit seeing Lyney like that in front of him.

“A-ahh…” But he obeyed, nonetheless. Lyney carefully placed the candy inside his mouth, letting him taste the sweet chocolate of the pocky. Aether hummed happily with half of the pocky hanging out of his mouth while Lyney tossed the box away.

“Now, for my next trick,” Lyney said, grinning, “I’ll make the pocky disappear! Don’t blink or you might miss it,” he announced and Aether raised an eyebrow.

Was that some kind of prank? Would Lyney make the pocky turn into a flor or something like that? It was hard to figure out how he would make it vanish from his lips, but that should be something within his skills as a magician.

“In one… two…” Lyney began to count and Aether looked down to the pocky’s end sticking out of his mouth, ready to catch any action - or magic - that was about to unfold before his eyes. “Three!”

As the countdown ended, Lyney quickly cupped Aether’s cheeks with his hands, pulling the traveler a bit forward and pressing his lips against his, kissing him gently, but briefly. Before Aether could protest - or even process the whole act - a small ‘crack’ noise echoed from between their mouths as Lyney bit the exposed end of the pocky, quickly munching it and, indeed, making it disappear.

“Ta-da! ~” Lyney cheered, taking a step back while Aether nearly choked with the other half of the pocky.

When he finally managed to swallow it, he felt the heat reach his face, now able to realize the whole thing. “D-don’t just ‘ta-da’ me, w-what was that?”

“Oho, mon chéri, you should already know a magician never reveals his tri- w-woah!” Before he could finish his usual saying, Aether grabbed him by his wrist, pulling Lyney down to the couch with him.

“You little brat,” Aether scolded, trying to sound angry despite the blushing mess he was, eagerly digging into Lyney’s sides and tickling over his stomach to ‘punish’ him for his trick, “do you think it’s funny to fluster me like this?” 

“A-AhahAHa, t-trahahahaveler! WahAHait, i-it wahahas just a jehehest!” Lyney laughed, wrapping one of his arms around his own torso while trying to push Aether’s hand away with the other. “N-nohoho neehehed for thihihs!”

Aether huffed, not convinced by Lyney’s excuse, but he couldn’t deny: that was, indeed, a good magic trick.

Synopsis: relationship headcanons for childe

Game/ fandom: genshin impact

A/n: I just finished what we currently have for the main story and I just... I can’t decide wether I hate him or love him.

I think tartaglia would be very sweet with you at first (like before you were dating) but after a while he’d become more and more willing to show you actual emotions other than compliant/ polite/ fairly happy/ etc

He’s extremely... touchy with you. Basically making it known that he likes you for anyone and everyone to see. He’ll place a arm around your shoulder/ waist hug you from behind, all that

Childe is possessive but in a... lowkey kinda way. Like he’ll glare at anyone who dares to flirt with you and then proceeds to kiss you. You never notice this though. The other guy doesn’t even get close enough for you to acknowledge him. But childe did.

Very much a gift giver. He gives you gifts all the time. Oh you walked pass the jewelry shop and stopped to look at a ring you might want to buy? Childe already has his wallet out.

As I said earlier childe is possessive, and he gets jealous fairly easily. But he won’t tell you that you can’t hang out with your guy friends he’s not crazy. Debatable

On the topic of jealousy, he doesn’t really show that he’s jealous the only way to tell is the subtle twitch in his smile. He doesn’t really like talking about it either cause he thinks he was being kinda irrational.

Cuddling with this man is absolutely godlike. He likes switching between big spoon and little spoon. He loves resting his head in the crook of your neck while spooning. Like this man is just so cuddly it’s almost suffocating (he’ll give you space though if you ask)

I don’t think he really calls you girly. I think he calls you darling, and babe (and still occasionally girly but that doesn’t happen as often when you get into a relationship)

Movie nights are a must with tartaglia. You both alternate between who chooses the movie too. I dunno why but he strikes me as the kinda guy who after a big movie needs to talk about it for at least 15 minutes afterwards.
