I’d started sculpting a pestle from clay before I realized I could just print mortars and pestles instead. Printed these before I made some better adjustments to my printer so they’re not perfect, but I’m pretty sure I can finish them nicely. As we approach the end of the month, I wanted to take a second to announce that I’ll be going on hiatus (kind of) for the month of July. I’ll still be sharing things on Instagram and will be posting WIPs and updates on Patreon, but my normal production schedule has been impossible in quarantine so I need time to experiment with new schedules to find something that works better. Because patrons get early access to videos, the hiatus will be on a delayed schedule for YouTube, running from mid-July to early August there. Hey, everyone! Bear with me, I’ve got a book update, not dolls... I’ve gotten a couple messages asking what was going on, so I figured I should address it where everyone can see. Where are the invoices for signed copies of book 2? They’re coming. Promise. The thing is... book 2 didn’t arrive. I ordered a crate from the distributor WELL before deadline, and I even paid for expedited shipping. Everything seemed to go well, I was really happy with how print copies turned out, and they were due to be delivered the 29th, the day before the book’s release. Then they didn’t come. And now the tracking on the package indicates my big crate of print copies of book 2 isn’t just late—it’s apparently lost. I hate to say I’m not surprised. Shipping everywhere is a mess right now, what with everything going on. I’ve been in contact with the distributor and they are going to have the books reprinted and reshipped at no charge. But they couldn’t tell me when to expect them to be ready, because they’re fighting a massive delay in the printing department. I don’t feel comfortable sending invoices for a book I don’t have in my hands, so I’ve elected to wait to send the invoices for signed copies. I’m really sorry for the wait, but there’s nothing else I can do about this right now. It’s outside of my control. 😢 I’m working on some extras to make up for the wait. Hopefully the reprinted books will arrive this week, but I have no way of knowing when to expect them until I receive notice that the replacement crate has shipped. If you decide to forgo a signed copy, print editions can be ordered from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Books-a-Million in the US. I think Waterstones has it in the UK, and I’m not sure about other places because... uh, I haven’t looked. I do know it should be available worldwide, but I don’t know how long these companies are taking to ship books right now. If you’d like to cancel your preorder, just let me know and I will take you off the list! Otherwise, I’ll let you know as soon as I’ve heard the replacement shipment is on the way. I’m so sorry for this and I wish I could do more.
