I love how george wrote Jaime as this set of dualities, but the ones that emphasize what a ridiculous man Jaime is are my favorites.
lol george really sat there and went hmm what would really impress jaime? like, i guess if she scaled this cliff maybe? and then pushed a boulder off the cliff at the exact perfect moment to sink a ship? and then lmao what if she did a swan dive off the cliff? and had like a 9.7 barely splashed the water silver medal landing and then mermaid swam up to the boat?? i guess that would maybe kind of impress jaime? enough that he would feel sorta bad about killing her???

fandom about some mf (is a man): you might dislike this character but you have to admit he's very interesting. even if you don't like him, he's a very well-written character. he's very complex. so even if you dislike him you should maybe reconsider that. because he's complex and interesting. and i think deep down he cares so much. there's a lot to analyze about his decisions, which he was force to make due to the terrible position he was put in. and if you don't like him you don't really understand the show tbh.
same fandom about a woman who has done comparable or much tamer things, with a much smaller fraction of fans: this may be a hot take but no one else has said this and i have to get this off my chest. some of you might like her but she is a TERRIBLE PERSON! she didn't have to do any of those things she did. she put herself into a bad situation, inconveniencing everyone around her and showing no remorse for it whatsoever. you may like her but i just don't get it!! if you like her or defend any of her actions, you are probably a real life abuser and hate women. so even if you do like her, maybe think about that. you can like her but you have to admit her flaws. otherwise you are encouraging women in real life to murder others and commit crimes, which is ignorant and wrong. her sympathetic scenes are not even canon because they're so manipulative, performative, and trite. such a waste of screen time very obviously trying to get us to feel bad for a MONSTER! she clearly didn't actually mean any of the good things she's done. deep down she is just a rotten human being with no motive but to make other people's lives miserable. i'm sorry but that's the truth.
#just say jaime and cersei lannister lol#but yeah i would argue cersei ultimately did worse.#but also#i'd argue show!cersei had legitimate redeeming qualities in that she did feel badly about some things#and she did love her children and didn't just see them as extensions of herself#she also showed genuine sympathy a few times#anyway#lena headey did such an amazingly naunced performance of that role and I admire her for it

Babe, why would you hide this in the tags?

I’m reading the three musketeers and found out that Brienne is a medieval French country and guess what the coat of arms was for the ‘Counts of Brienne’ was, a fricking lion!

This can’t be just a coincidence right?? George is subtly hinting that Brienne will marry Jaime, I mean the background is blue, it’s like a combo of their two houses!

What are your favorite aspects of Jaime's character? (Book!Jaime specifically)
Ahhh, I just love so much about him.
I love that he is really good at reading other people but is totally obtuse about himself. I love that he thinks these completely ridiculous things for his own amusement - strangling Sybel Spicer with her own necklace, marrying Cersei and creating a dynasty of inbred Lannister mutants - and then proceeds to do nothing about them. I love both the intentional jokes (”what’s the name of the bastard he fathered?” “Brienne” “No, that’s not it”) and the unintentional ones (when Genna consoles him for losing his father, and he thinks she’s talking about his hand). I love the total disconnect between what he thinks, what he does, and what he says, and how unaware of his own feelings he is.
I love that a lot of this is a product of his traumas, and he is slowly working through them and might soon be able to process things in a more healthy way.
Basically, he’s my favourite character in the books.

I love how Tyrion has his chin in his little hand as he's marching.
little lannister parade i drew for a birthday card for my father; show-based designs because we’re currently watching it together :>

Me: *pulls out a crusty sign from a French county* Braime was always the endgame, your honor.

“blue is a good color on you, my lady,” jaime observed. “it goes well with your eyes.” she does have astonishing eyes. brienne glanced down at herself, flustered.

If you’re trying to figure out if it’s a crow or a raven, remember that smaller bird=smaller word, so crows are the little guys. If you’re wondering, huh, is that big enough to be a raven? It’s a crow. Ravens are startlingly large if you’re used to crows. Ravens are real big. Ravens are hawk sized. Ravens are bigger than your head.
Here’s a size comparison.
and here is a crow with a human
versus a raven
So if there is any doubt that that croaky black bird is big enough to be a raven, it’s probably a crow.
