Shiv: instead of taking the risk - risk - of being left out of the decision-making process (even though Kendall had already said she'd be handling news directly and would have free reign to change ATN's political direction, let's not forget that), she sealed her fate as a trophy wife to Matsson's bitch, who, by her own words, is competent, but will suck the biggest dick in the room. No news division, no nothing. Sure, Tom genuinely loves her, but she doesn't reciprocate and her life will 100% for sure be awful. Serves her right, if you ask me.

Ken: If he doesn't take his own life by jumping from a building or into Hudson river, he'll bury himself in drugs again and overdose in a ditch somewhere. Yeah, he was as much as an asshole as anyone else in his family (in this show, really), but Jesus fucking Christ...poor guy.

I honestly wouldn't even know the show was coming back tomorrow if it weren't for my beloved and essential SeriesGuide app (to be fair, apart from new shows, this goes for mostly all of them these days), and this is the screenshot for the first ep. I was more than kinda worried Luke would be gone for the rest of the season, so I headed back to Tumblr to check. That was NOT working to make me feel better until I saw that Rachel herself (well, her team anyway) had posted this exact image with THAT message. Finally watched this week's episode and if Madisynn fucking King doesn't become a permanent fixture in the MCU, appearing with her bestie Wongers in any show or film he's in from now on, they're throwing gold down the drain. No, not gold, diamonds.

Can't you just imagine her in a table with Strange, Thor and Peter listening to their romantic woes and giving them the kind of advice only she could give? Offering Peter drinks and him being like "Lady, I'm probably breaking the law just breathing the same air as you"?

And not just post-credit scenes and the like either, like in the actual movies and shows. Being part of the plot somehow.

Here's what's great about that whole "oh no so much gay!!!!!" thing that's been going on regarding Sandman: although that didn't happen to me personally while watching the episodes, when I stopped to think about them, yes, I *did* find it a bit excessive, forced even.

BUT.

Instead of us cishet folk getting all angry about it, this should be a conduit for self-reflection and real, material acknowledgement of our privilege. If ONE SHOW makes you feel invisible or "oppressed", maybe stop to think about how non-cishet people have felt - and still do, by the way - with pretty much all of pop culture basically saying that what they are doesn't or shouldn't exist. When every single thing that isn't constructed that way is deemed "controversial".

My one beef though, if you can call it that, is that I think The Corinthian should have been bi. Not straight, mind you, bi. Having one's eyes removed isn't nightmarish only for men, I'm just saying. (Though as I understand he also only seduces men in the actual comics, right?)

Oh, and fuck anyone who didn't like that Desire is nb (and pan, right, they have to be pan). It's DESIRE. It SHOULD be all-encompassing. It actually wouldn't make any sense if they weren't tbh.

And don't even get me started on the race and gender swaps because yeah, I know most people pressed about that were huge fans of the comic who wanted everything to be like it was on the page, but as a newbie to this universe, I never even blinked. Nothing about it felt weird in any way, shape or form. Also, I'd like to see how these fanboys would react if the swaps were the other way around: women and PoC becoming white men.
