1. Flaming Hot Cheeto Fit

YALL SLEEPING. My mans killed like 5-6 Jedi then 2 hours later he’s a bloody red robe with ancient sith symbols?? The red signifies all the Jedi blood he stepping in and the sith symbols signify how he’s the head huncho sith who rules now.

2. Bicep gains shirt

He looks miserable wearing this but you know it’s still lowkey swaggy. I dunno what the fuck compelled him to wear this but go off, king. No judgment here.

3. Blue ass robes fit

This is his attempt to make the Jedi think he’s stupid and nonsuspicious. My mans family color is red but he’s out here looking like a clown in the damn Naboo noble gowns. Like this fit is some “Jedi i dunno shi I’m just a politician who’s tryna make some plays” type shit. Notice how he wears the color the Jedi like to make them think he’s cool, when in reality he’s big slime Sheev Palpatine.

4. Killing Jedi in a few hours fit

This drip is underrated. Palpatine knew that morning that by nightfall, the whole Jedi order was about to get stepped on. So he picked the most basic and comfortable fit. If you watch the Lil duel he did with mace, you notice he was cork screw diving with Gucci loafers on. G shit.

5. How Rich ppl dress vs how poor ppl dress fit

This is the embodiment of the “rich don’t dress to show their wealth” meme. Sidious out here dressed raggedy as hell. Like the damn witch from Snow White but bitches still ain’t calling him broke. Thinking about that scene on Bespin when Vader offered Luke to kill the Emperor together and “rule the galaxy like father and son”. Like… sweetheart. However, in the context of RotS, where he offers the same thing to Padme during his mental breakdown on Mustafar, it all makes sense to me. COSINGA PALPATINE AND THE PALPATINE HOUSEHOLD: Sidious’s home life pre-sith apprenticeship

This is something I’ve wanted to discuss for a long ass time. I’ve eluded to it a lot, but I’m ready to discuss my theories on Sheev Palpatine’s home life.

More importantly Cosinga Palpatine because he is Sheev’s daddy and there was issues between them.

This sums up their relationship pretty well. Sheev Palpatine is like 17-18 around this time.

I’m no family expert, but if you have a “I wanted to kill my son because he’s doing what babies tend to do” mentality then you a shitty father.

I can’t stress enough how fucked up in the brain it is for Cosinga Palpatine to immediately have a beef with his newborn son because he was acting like an infant does.

You gotta think, like is Sheev’s mother fine with this? Like if my baby daddy was talking about my baby like this. Bitch I would leave.

From this passage alone, we can garner that Sheev’s mom literally ain’t ever stick up for him once in his life.

Keep in mind, Cosinga Palpatine really be talking crazy to Sheev—no fucks given whatsoever.

In the book, Darth Plaguies, is Sheev Palpatine a young drama king menace? Yes, most certainly.

He’s hilarious because he’s Sheev with the full arrogance and sass but with none of the tact and political manipulation skills yet.

Dude downright annoying—but I love it.

The book doesn’t give us too much insight into why Sheev acts like this—well nothing cut and dry—but I think it’s an defense mechanism

You can tell that Sheev wants some kind of relationship with Cosinga, but in his mind, doing that will mean he’ll potentially be submitting to his father’s will.

As someone who’s been there, I can understand where he’s coming from. Like I mean i think if you’ve ever had a family member like Cosinga Palpatine you understand that a gift is never a gift of love. It’s just another way to control you.

Now, I do think that Cosinga was right to try to remove Sheev from Plaguies’ grasp. But, because of how strained their relationship was—like major butting of heads and dominance fighting—Cosinga didn’t have the relationship needed be an actual father in the one time he needed to.

But this isn’t all Sheev’s fault.

Let’s not picture Sheev as the most annoying teenage drama king on the planet.

Let’s go way back before Sheev was Darth Sidious, biggest menace in the galaxy.

Let’s imagine Sheev in his childhood.

This schism between Sheev and his father started at birth. Literally.

Cosinga’s negative perception of Sheev started long before Sheev even knew it. Like bro, imagine you a kid and your dad just acts lowkey cold around you and you don’t know why.

Kids are smart, they pick up on stuff. You know Cosinga probably wasn’t hiding his distaste of Sheev whenever he would make a mistake.

You’d likely feel worthless, hurt, and confused as to why your father and mother treat you different.

Maybe over the years you develop an extreme sense of pride, arrogance, and disregard for everyone in an attempt to cope with massive negatives feelings your family put you through in childhood.

Even like 2 decades after Sheev kills his father— and whole family—Cosinga still lives in Sheev’s head.

Even as Sidious, he’s still trying to prove something to his father and stunt on him.

At the moment of his life that he literally worked damn near 40 years to achieve, he’s still thinking about how Cosinga.

I think that’s telling of the emotional impact Cosinga had on his son.

Conclusion

I’m not here to play “sheev is a innocent baby he never did anything wrong” no. I love Sheev for the menace to society he is. But I don’t think we can pass the entire blame on to just him.

Cosinga Palpatine and Sheev’s family life played a massive role in his development.

They alienated him, he got an inflated ego to cope, had Sheev been close to his family he would have never met Plagueis.

Plagueis just made every negative trait Sheev had worse and added like 25 new psychopathic traits on.

In closing, I wanna share this passage from Darth Plaguies.

Yeah, the book tries to pass it off as “it’s okay because he didn’t actually hit his son” but this shit plays a role in people’s mind and how they perceive life.

In the last pages of Darth Plaguies, Sidious even acknowledges how he was targeted out as a troubled young man and used by Plagueis even though he quickly switches it to it being all apart of his plan for the sake of his ego.

Sidious himself knows that the strained relationship he had with Cosinga led him to this place even if it was to his self proclaimed benefit

So yeah, if you say “fuck Sidious” also say “fuck Cosinga Palpatine” too
