Returning just to Complain
I was grounded from Tumblr for a while because it was bringing down my mood, so my 100 Days of Productivity plan was UTTERLY DESTROYED, but, now that I’m back, time to rant about exam season. :)
The IB is LITERALLY killing me! I’m only on Year 1, but my SL courses are the ones that I am the worst at. My Math Apps exam is next week, and math is NOT my strong suit. In addition, I have to give my oral commentary for HL English Literature the same day as my math Paper 1, so I’m going to be stressing. :,)
Even worse than math is Spanish. I feel okay about Paper 1 (the written portion) and the reading comprehension portion of Paper 2, but the listening portion of Paper 2 is going to be the death of me. I have a late night band concert right before the morning of that section of Paper 2 as well, so I’m going to be exhausted. :)
Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to do a LOT of revision over the next couple of weeks, and hope for the best.

100 Days of Productivity, Day 6
March 22, 2024
To be perfectly honest, I was not as productive today as I have been in the rest of the week, because I wanted to enjoy the start of the weekend.
However, I WAS very productive for about an hour, researching the difference between the salsa and the bachata for my Spanish class, in preparation for my oral exam.
I will be more productive this weekend, and will start making an effort to include photos in my updates. :)

100 Days of Productivity, Day 5
March 21, 2024
Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos today, because I was VERY busy. I had a math test (over derivatives), a biology quiz (over evolution), and a Spanish quiz. After school, I had auditions for my band’s leadership team for next year, which I think went well.
My *productive* thing for today was studying for my history essay. My teacher gave us the topic for the essay in class today, so we could study and prepare tonight, because we have to finish the paper in class tomorrow. :’)
It’s okay though, because I’m confident in history and in writing, so hopefully I don’t die.

100 Days of Productivity, Day 4
March 20, 2024
Today was very productive, because I had a test at the very end of the school day, so I got to study the heart all day.
I went to my history club meeting after school, and worked on a poster of Selena for Women’s History month. :)
Since I have arrived at home,I have been focusing on history, because I have a test over World War II coming up.

100 Days of Productivity, Day 3
March 19, 2024
My early morning band rehearsal was cancelled today, so I got to get some ✨morning productivity✨™️ in, because I still had to be at school. I studied for my anatomy test tomorrow and got started on my English essay.
I don’t have any aesthetic pictures, but here’s a cute picture of my rabbit:

100 Days of Productivity, Day 2
Monday, March 18, 2024
I went back to school from school today, and the IB program already wants to kill me. :’)
What I have this week:
Band: Preparation for concert and try-outs for the student leadership team
IB Math Apps: Test over derivatives
IB English: Essay over the novel we just finished
IB Bio: Quiz over evolution
IB HOTA: Multiple Choice Test and Paper 3 (long essay) Test
Anatomy: Practical Exam over the heart
IB Spanish: Preparation for *very big* oral exam (called Internal Assessment, or IA)
With all that mess, I had plenty of opportunity to be productive this afternoon! I spent most of my time with anatomy, because my test for that class is the most pressing matter right now. I also looked over a math practice about the graphs of derivatives, to start preparing for that test.

100 Days of Productivity, Day 1
Sunday, March 17, 2024
Today was the last day of my spring break, which meant that I didn’t have any school work to do. I thought it would be the perfect day to start this challenge, because I won’t have any more long breaks from school for a while, so I will have to be focused on my schoolwork.
My “productive thing” for today was cleaning my bedroom and getting my school bag ready for my return to school tomorrow. I expected the cleaning to take a long time, but it honestly wasn’t that bad. My turtle and rabbit kept me company as I cleaned as well, so I wasn’t bored. :)

Back to the Grind

The above image is a horse with an ice cream cone upside down on its head who thinks that they are a unicorn, drawn on my music at rehearsal for my school’s musical. I think the look on his face perfectly describes how I’ve been feeling about going back to school!
My classes so far have been pretty easy- TOO easy it seems, for IB. From reviewing midpoint and distance in Math Applications to not even having a teacher for Biology to basic lectures over the Gilded Age for History of the Americas, it’s been simple, but something in the back of my mind tells me that it’s going to get very difficult very soon.
Sadly I don’t have any aesthetic study content yet- I’ve been too worn out from late rehearsals to even think about aesthetics- but it’s coming soon.

Introduction
I’ve actually been on Tumblr for years, but crippling anxiety has really prevented me from doing anything. Anyways, I’ve decided to put myself out there, so here’s some information about myself and my blog.
Basic Information
If someone someday on here wants to call me something, I guess I’ll go with LOTR Nerd, because I don’t want to share my real name and making something up takes too much effort!
I live in the United States.
I am in my first year of the IB Diploma program, and, based on my first semester, I’m both excited and scared for the rest of this year and next year.
My Courses
Yep, I’m going to be putting study stuff on here, for myself if I’m being honest, so here are the courses I’m struggling through.
HL-
English
Biology
History of the Americas
SL-
Spanish
Math Applications
Electives-
Band
Anatomy and Physiology
Other Interests
When I’m not struggling with school, some of the other things I enjoy are music (I play the oboe, English horn, and piano), art/drawing, any form or era of history, and writing. Reading is my primary passion, and I’ve been reading through the classics for years. My favorite books are “The Lord of the Rings” series (hence my name) and the “Sherlock Holmes” books and short stories.
Well, that’s all for now, so I guess I’ll let this stew until school gets back in session.
