There was no point denying it so Harry nodded slowly, unable to drag his eyes away from the screen. “Where is this photo?”

“Online. Everywhere, as you can imagine. Louis Tomlinson’s mystery date.”

“Fuckkkkk,” Harry mumbled, zooming in slightly, just grateful you really couldn’t make out his face from the angle the photos were taken on. It was probably one of the people in the coffee shop given the grainy hue to the image, but it was definitely clear that it was Louis. “Oh god, Ni…”

“Are you going to tell me what the fuck is going on? Why the hell are you out drinking with Louis Tomlinson? How long has this been going on, Harry?!”

Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles are from two completely different worlds. One a successful pop star, one a bookshop owner with a not so small fan crush on said pop star. Their paths were never supposed to cross - idol and fan was their only destiny. Until it wasn’t.

It isn’t the proudest time of his life, but they were actually pretty good, and the guys were all hot as fuck. They were what contributed to Louis’ sexual awakening in realising that he was, in fact, very gay. “Wait. But One Direction...aren’t they broken up now or summat?” Louis asks. Even though there was a time when he was in love with the band, he sort of outgrew them and hasn’t been keeping up with them for years.

Or- Louis wins a contest to meet Harry Styles even though he doesn't consider himself a fan. What he doesn't expect is to win over the popstar's heart.

The bark was his only warning before the door to the cottage opened, and a soft accented voice followed.

“Cliff, calm down. You’d think I starved you or something instead of letting you eat first. You’re a shit hunting dog when all you do is eat the ducks I shoot down.”

Harry turned towards the door, eyes wide as he watched the alpha walk in, a large, curly haired black dog bouncing in front of him. The dog - Cliff apparently - barked again as his eyes set on Harry. He didn’t growl (apparently hunting wasn’t the only thing he was shit at), he just barked again and bounded his way over to Harry, tail wagging.

“Cliff what are- what the fuck?” The alpha spotted him. “Who the hell are you?”

A summer gone wrong (or very right) when, under Liam’s persuasion, Louis finds himself drunkenly applying for Love Island, and getting accepted. Oh, well. A summer spent on an island paradise couldn’t be all that bad, right? 

Imagine his surprise when Louis arrives in sunny Majorca to find that his first love and ex-boyfriend, Harry, is another contestant, about to capture the hearts of everyone in the villa. Most normal people don’t have to face their ex on an otherwise straight TV show. It was his turn to smash his nose into Harry’s neck and Harry was extremely thankful for that because he wasn’t sure he had his facial expression in check at all.

Or a Band AU in which Harry isn’t allowed to be who he really is and the North American Tour might bring some unexpected truths into the web of lies and also a bit of heat that has very little to do with the summer in the US.
