Fair Warning--This blog contains themes of death, as well as occational spiritual/religeous themes. I also intend on sharing Christian music on Wednesdays if I'm able to. Check out my Pinned Post if you have questions, as a lot of answers are provided there! Thanks for the visit!
Now that I've finished painting I can doodle again...
And that certain idea has latched onto my brain H A R D.
This bean WILL win over her mommy, mark her words! >:3
I was thinking I'd have her be the shiny I got in Legends Arceus that ended up on my main team (post game, but still got plenty of time to love her and even got her to lv. 100). But some factors changed my mind.
I had caught a shiny Scyther randomly in Scarlet one day while wandering around. I literally fell on top of it, and was like "wait, you shiny?? OoO"
Anyway, Petal from Legends is Docile, Likes to Eat, and is average size, which is fine... but I've kinda grown attached to a little Scyther.
Well... guess who's "a good sight smaller than average"?
The Scarlet Scyther (who I may still name Petal because I really like that name dkhfjdks) is Quirky, Impetuous and Silly... which really fits the mental image I've had for her...
Anyway, I love her with all my heart and this is absolutely gonna be canon. (I'm calling this a future scenario though.)
Imagine if Jamie finds a pokemon egg in the wild and when she takes it and brings it home it turns out to be a baby Scyther and she just runs from it screaming while the Scyther just follows her around thinking thats her mom 😅
I saw the comment.
I may just have to yoink that, thank you very much.
Is Jamie also afraid of Scizor, since it's Scyther's evolution?
Yes, but not quite as badly, as she doesn't have any personal experience with them. Plus, a large part of the fear is the blades. Big meaty claws ol' pinchers are pretty scary too, though.
By chance, would Jamie being afraid of Scyther have anything to do with the whole dark typing thing, (dark is weak against bug if I remember correctly?) Or is it due to an unrelated incident?
My brain decided to do an angsty (but also wholesome) hair comic. :>
I've been informed that one of the panels can potentially be an abuse trigger--It's not meant as a portrayal as abuse, but rather a fear. Nonetheless, the warning still stands, just in case. ^^
Did Jamie understand human speech at all before she was taken in by her brother and his wife?
Yes. She had about 6 years with humans before ending up in the wild. She got a bit rusty, but she could understand and speak to Jordan and Rose. By that time she was more fluent in Pokespeak though.
