[this bit is inspired by pinkcorruption]: shapes and basically all other species in paradise have mainly their humanoid/full-body form, but they can and do switch to shape form frequently. cubi stays in shape form all the time, actually

shapes' injuries present as broken floaty pieces, the string cubi is using to hold its legs together is made of the nodes and lines [or pathways] from the game's hub world.

reason i'm interpreting them as injured is because i'd been wondering how i could think of a good reason for cubi not being able to resist or escape the industry in any way, or swim from the tree they were trapped on when it could swim in pink water earlier! in my take the waves had tangled the nodes around its body and around the tree [and it hurt...]

oh yeah pretty unrelated but cubi is good friends with lycos, aka my pure lycanthropy take! hope this is cool to anyone
