This week, when the forces of evil unite from across time and dimensions, it’ll take the combined efforts of distinctly different, yet similar super hero teams to keep the universe secure in the action-packed animated movie - Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans. Today my kids got crafty and made a Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans Character Banks. They can put change in their jar and save for the future or budget. #CampWarnerBros Week 4 with Scooby-Doo WrestleMania Mystery

This week the kids (a.k.a. campers) and I got to enjoy Scooby-Doo!: WrestleMania Mystery! I grew up watching Scooby-Doo mysteries and we've caught some of the other Scooby-Doo movies so it was fun to share this animated adventure with my kids. It's 90 degrees here in Minnesota so it was nice to get out of the heat, watch the movie, and share a "Scooby Snack" today. You can make your own yummy "Scooby Snack" with the recipe below. We had wheat cereal instead of rice so ours looks darker than what yours might be. In Scooby-Doo!: WrestleMania Mystery!, Shaggy and Scooby compete to win a video game and happen to win tickets to WrestleMania®. They convince the entire Mystery Inc. gang to travel to WWE City in the Mystery Machine to enjoy the show. The trip quickly turns into another mystery as WWE City is full of secrets! A mysterious ghostly bear appears and threatens to ruin the show and steal the championship title belt. #CampWarnerBros Week 3

This week for #CampWarnerBros, we checked out We Bare Bears: The Movie! and made squishy Gummy Bear Slime. This movie involves three bears, Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear who are brothers. They love food trucks and a bit of stardom that leads them into a bit of trouble. You can follow them on their adventure in We Bare Bears: The Movie! Here's the official trailer to check it out. This activity involves a microwave so you will want to have an adult present to help with heating and handling the gummy bears when they are melted and hot. This week I got to watch Steven Universe: The Movie with my kids. I was not very familiar with the animated series of Steven Universe. My son was. I found it neat how this animated film has characters singing to help advance the story. Spinel, a cartoon gem, has landed on Earth and wants to destroy Steven and the planet. The Gems have lost their memories so Steven has to figure out what will trigger their memories to return so they can help him save Earth. https://youtu.be/4KF_FaH4WoQ You can work on saving the Earth at home and bringing peace to the galaxy with Steven Universe’s “Crystal Gem” Candy recipe below. My family started their Crystal Gems last night and they are developing. The recipe to make your own candy is attached below. The Science Behind The Fun: As time passes (and the solution cools), the water will slowly evaporate from the solution. As the water evaporates, the solution will become more saturated with sugar. The sugar molecules will collect on the string, and the candy crystals will grow molecule by molecule! Extra Science Fun: Try making two jars of candy. In the first jar - seed your “Crystal Gem” Candy by rolling your string in water and sugar. In the second jar do not seed your string with sugar before growing. #CampWarnerBros Week 1 Super Hero Week

For our first week of Camp Warner Bros, it is Super Hero Week. To celebrate, we watched the recently released LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters, which is available on digital, Blu-ray, and DVD. My kids really enjoyed it, especially my youngest. In  LEGO® DC: Shazam! Magic and Monsters, young Billy Batson shouts out "Shazam" and transforms into a super hero. Members of the Justice League also come in to be part of his team. They work to fight against two evil villains. We also listened to Batman provide some virtual Super Hero Training. Batman also has training tips with fun games, like "Batman Says", "Super Hero Freeze", and "Memory Challenges" to check out. Diamond Art Club Kit Review

With shelter in place starting mid-March for us and online learning beginning two weeks after, I find it has been harder to limit the amount of screen time for my children. I am thankful that my 13-year-old has been given an outlet to break away from technology and rest her eyes with Diamond Art Club Kits. The kit we received is called Floral Delight. I don't see it currently available on the website, but there are many other beautiful designs to choose from.

This kit comes with all you need. It includes the pre-printed canvas, 27 different diamond round colors plus extra pieces, two pieces of wax, an applicator with multi-grabber, grip, and a tray.

This has been a relaxing activity for my daughter. She started on the borders and has slowly worked in onto the last few petals and center of the pink flower. As she has progressed with this project, she removed sections of the clear plastic covering. The canvas seems very sticky and holds the resin diamonds well. There is a key printed on one side of the canvas that corresponds to the code and the resin diamonds have a DMC number printed on their bags to help identify them.

Title: The Healthy Teen Cookbook: Around the World in 80 Fantastic Recipes Author: Remmi Smith With being a parent and aspiring to become a FACS teacher, I see a strong importance in teaching youth cooking skills and how to make smart, healthy choices that last a lifetime. I have been reviewing The Healthy Teen Cookbook over the last few weeks. The author, Remmi Smith, is 17-years-old and this is her second cookbook. She also has two cooking shows and her own salad dressing line! Remmi has appeared on Chopped, the talk show Harry (with Harry Connick Jr.), and the Food Network. The Healthy Teen Cookbook features 80 recipes that allow you to sample cuisine from the seven continents. With each recipe, there is a "Remmi Notes" following the recipe that gives Remmi's own take on the recipe and suggestions/additions to make the recipe a complete meal or to add variation. The recipes included are definitely those that my 13-year-old can handle with just an adult handy for questions. The recipes provided come with colored images of the food product. At the introduction of each continent, there is some information on the cuisine typical of the region, popular regional dishes, and important facts about the demography of the continents too. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

Recently Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker became available to own or rent. This film is the conclusion of the Skywalker saga and would be Star Wars: Episode IX. I missed the opportunity to see this stellar film when it was in theatres and am grateful for a copy to review. Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron are taking the Resistance to its final stand battling Kylo Ren and the First Order. Emperor Palpatine, who was once deceased, manages to return and is aided by the First Order. I loved that the other original characters who Star Wars fans have admired all these years, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Lando Calrissian return. Leia says her final farewell to fans in this film too. There are new characters too, like Jannah who is an ally of the Resistance; Allegiant General Pryde of the First Order; and smuggler Zorri Bliss.
