This is Shasta. He’s 3 months-old and FeLV+. Shasta was stuck in the wheel well of a car in Vallejo, CA. Hearing his cries, Corena managed to get him out and take him to VIP for an exam, vaccinations and combo test. That’s when Corena found out Shasta’s FeLV+. VIP recommended that Corena contact us…
And the rest is history.
It just so happens that we’ve been looking for a playmate for Biscuit, the 3 month-old FeLV+ kitten we recently rescued. So now Biscuit has a new “friend” in our FeLV+ Habitat.
Thank you, Corena, for getting Shasta out of trouble and here to SNAP Cats!

This is Momma Kitty (yes we are!). Not quite sure how old she is but she’s old enough to have a litter of kittens, which she did shortly after arriving at the Sutter Animal Services Authority in Yuba City (CA). According to the shelter, Momma Kitty has CH (cerebellar hypoplasia). And the shelter does not adopt-out CH cats. So Momma Kitty’s been on our waitlist for a while, but with the shelter nearing max capacity now, a decision had to be made. Momma Kitty was in jeopardy of being, well, you know. So the shelter reached out to us letting us know Momma Kitty’s situation…
And the rest is history.
Momma Kitty is arriving today at about 11:30 am. You can watch her arrival on our Kitten Room webcam at https://www.youtube.com/@SnapcatsOrg/streams.
Thanks, Katie, for driving Momma Kitty here from Yuba City!

BLACK KITTENS FRIDAY!
So our new black kittens from San Francisco are Kyle (male) and Selina (female). We didn’t put their names on their pictures because it’s really hard to tell them apart (unless you turn them upside down!). Regardless, these two are about 3 months-old and the cutest, sweetest, friendliest kittens EVER! They love being held, which most kittens don’t. And love playing with each other all day. Since these two siblings are bonded they’ll need to be adopted together (kittens are like potato chips - you can’t just have one!).
Here's a link to a short video of them - https://youtu.be/Ynbw80vs2Ng
If you're interested in Kyle & Selina please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!

This is Kevin. He’s about 2 months-old and has moderate-to-severe CH. Kevin was found in Jing's backyard. Jing took Kevin to San Jose Animal Care Center (SJACC) where they diagnosed his CH. Kevin was extremely stressed out in the shelter, so Jing volunteered to foster Kevin until he could be neutered. Unfortunately, Kevin needed to stay at the shelter after he was neutered (have no idea why), and knowing Kevin is extremely stressed at the shelter, a SJACC volunteer, Tram, reached out to us to see if we could rescue Kevin...
And the rest is history.
Jing is fostering Kevin (again) until we have room to bring him here. You can see Kevin in action at Jing’s at https://youtu.be/dClgv1f3Qto.
Thank you, Tram, for reaching out to us. And thank you, Jing, for fostering Kevin until we have room to take him here.

This is Ginger. The city of Madera Animal Control (MAC) found her and brought her to the Madera Animal Hospital for evaluation. Due to Ginger’s condition, the shelter opted to euthanize her. Natalie, an employee at the Madera Animal Hospital, could not euthanize Ginger without trying to exhaust all possibilities to find help her. Ginger had so much life in her! So Natalie contacted Diana from Friends of Madera Animal Shelter (FMAS) to see if any rescue would help special needs kittens. And SNAP Cats was the first rescue to come up. Natalie contacted us…
And the rest is History.
Since SNAP Cats agreed to rescue Ginger, Natalie was able to save Ginger from being euthanized. Natalie has been fostering Ginger and treating her eye for the past few weeks until we could arrange transport here.
Ginger is flying in today with Pilot Kim. Thank you, Natalie, for saving Ginger and taking great care of her. And thank you, Pilot Kim, for donating your time and plane to fly Ginger to SNAP Cats!

TWO FOR TUESDAY!
Samson & Delilah are 14 weeks-old and sponsored by Deborah Metzger. SNAP Cats rescued Samson & Delilah from San Francisco, CA. These two are very outgoing, love to be held, snuggle and sleep in your lap. Despite missing a portion of one of their back legs, these two get around just fine. They jump, climb and run up and down stairs like champs. They are fixed, up-to-date on vaccines (so far), and the sweetest, cutest couple we have (don’t tell the other kittens we said that). Samson & Delilah are a bonded pair, so you’d need to adopt them both.
If you’re interested in adopting Samson & Delilah please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

BLACK CAT FRIDAY!
First, check out GG's TikTok video - https://www.tiktok.com/@snapcatssr/video/7420912557684198686.
GG, now known as "Big G", is 9 years 2 months-old and is sponsored by Linda Higgins. SNAP Cats rescued GG from Rohnert Park, CA. Don’t let that "way-to-serious" face fool you. GG is a very sweet, loving, chill kitty, who’s fairly independent and doesn’t need a whole lotta attention, other than his twice-daily insulin injections, which he takes extremely well (doesn't even notice). GG gets along fine with the others here, is kinda picky about his wet food (but he DEFINITELY likes his wet food!), and just kinda sits around and watches the world go by him.
If you’re interested in BigG please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!

Matilde is 8 years 4 months-old and sponsored by: Alice Weigel. SNAP Cats rescued Matilde from Mozambique, Africa. Matilde is a very sweet kitty. She’ll greet you when you come in the room, and solicit pets until it’s enough. She is a Calico after all. Matilde gets along well with other cats or will fit in nicely as an only cat.
BTW: Please don't be afraid of FIV. It's nothing. Really. Slightly compromised immune system. That's it. Just like a FIV- cat, Matilde will live a long, healthy life if you take good care of her. Matilde's not aggressive toward other cats so there's no chance of her transmitting it.
If you’re interested in Matilde please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

This handsome boy doesn’t have a name yet. He was found as a stray kitten in Brian’s backyard. Brian took the kitten in, planning to socialize him and then try to find the kitten a home. When Brian took the kitten into his vet for an exam and vaccines, the kitten tested FELV+.  Brian contacted us…
And the rest is history.
Brian and the kitten will be arriving today at about 1:45 pm. You can watch their arrival on our FeLV+ Habitat webcam at https://www.youtube.com/@SnapcatsOrg/streams.
Thank you, Brian, for rescuing this kitten, cleaning him up, taking such great care of him, and getting him here to SNAP Cats!

BLACK (AND WHITE) CAT FRIDAY!
Poe is 9 months-old and sponsored by Wyeth Hunnable. SNAP Cats rescued Poe from Orange County, CA. Poe was found in the middle of an intersection last Halloween crying for someone to help him. He was brought to the Orange County Animal Care shelter where he was diagnosed with multiple fractures and significant bruising on his left lateral thigh. The veterinarian was concerned there may be future sloughing. Needing extra special care that the shelter can’t provide, Poe was scheduled to be euthanized.
Uh… NO!
Upon arriving here, Poe didn’t place much weight on his left rear leg. He had a pelvic fracture (left side) and a broken femur in his left leg. If anyone knows anything about kittens you know that they heal very fast. Within a month Poe was running around here like nothing ever happened.
Today, Poe is a sweet, but shy, boy who loves to run and play. And HE LOVES his wet food! Poe will make a wonderful addition to any family who has a kitty about Poe’s age.
If you’re interested in Poe please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

This handsome man is Ross. He’s 6 years months-old and sponsored by Amber Wells. SNAP Cats rescued Ross from Fresno, CA. Ross is the sweetest cat ever! He's SO friendly with people, and most other cats. Only exception are cats who get in his face. Then he’s not so nice. Just defending himself. No stalking or aggressive behavior. Ross will fit in beautifully with a family who either has other cats or not. Please don't be afraid of FIV. It's nothing. Really. Slightly compromised immune system. That's it. Just like a FIV- cat, Ross will live a long, healthy life if you take good care of him. BTW: Ross is a Cherubim. It’s a breed of Ragamuffin. Look it up. If you’re interested in Ross please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks. SNAP Cats uses Smart Cat, all natural cat litter.

WHITE CAT WEDNESDAY!
Frodo is 7 years 6 months-old and sponsored by Cathy Blackstone. SNAP Cats rescued Frodo from Dubai (UAE). Frodo is a big, smart, alpha street cat that lets everyone here know that he’s the boss. He follows human instructions/demands very well, though, sometimes acting more like a dog than a cat. Although we haven’t tried it yet, we think Frodo will do well on a leash (with harness). It might exhaust some of his relentless energy. With this in mind, Frodo would be a great “only” cat. Or, he’d do well with a senior female that minds her own business.
If you’re interested in Frodo please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!

BLACK CAT FRIDAY!
Wolfie is 1 year 1 month-old and sponsored by Sheila Reilly. SNAP Cats rescued Wolfie from Solano Co, CA. Wolfie is a very playful boy. He would do best with another kitten/cat about his age (like Ozzy!) to run and tumble with, but Wolfie's old enough to be an only cat. Wolfie Loves attention and his wet food. He’ll cry at your feet until you feed him his wet food treat. Wolfie gets along great with the others here, uses the litter box 100% of the time, and will make a wonderful addition to your family!
If you’re interested in Wolfie please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

Jewel’s 4 years 3 months-old and sponsored by Lynn Richardson. SNAP Cats rescued Jewel from Merced, CA. Jewel is just that: a real jewel. She’s the first kitty to greet you when you come in the room, and won’t let you leave until she gets your attention, plenty of pets and everything that goes along with that. Jewel gets along great with the other kitties, so she’d be fine in a home with other cats.
BTW: Please don't be afraid of FIV. It's nothing. Really. Slightly compromised immune system. That's it. Just like a FIV- cat, Jewel will live a long, healthy life if you take good care of her. Jewel's not aggressive toward other cats so there's no chance of her transmitting it.

WHITE CAT WEDNESDAY! Bea(utiful) is 3 years 11 months-old and sponsored by Leah Hennen. SNAP Cats rescued Bea from Oakland, CA. Bea does not have any special needs because she came to us bonded with her brother, Bertie, who is a dwarf kitty with ataxia. Once they were here for a while, the two de-bonded (is that a word?), and Bertie was adopted in November 2021. Bea is the typical, playful cat who can’t seem to run out of energy. Bea LOVES to chase the spring toy. Keeps her entertained for hours. Bea will make a wonderful addition to any family who has a cat or two about her age. If you don't have a cat or two, we can also help with that! If you’re interested in Bea please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.
