do you think the lucifer show would've been better if 'rory'(netflix's luciferxchloe oc child) character was replaced by elaine belloc? I'll die on this hill. the show was always silly but cmon michael got sent to hell, and there's a half angel in hell looking for him who knows about ghost stuff? sorry if this is unintelligible

i think they could’ve done elaine, and her arc, because that would be fun. but i think the connection of father/daughter was strange to me because lucifer was saying one thing, then doing another. “oh, i couldn’t go to hell and abandon my daughter” and he literally does exactly that which!!!! LUCIFER ISNT SUPPOSED TO LIE IN THE SHOW. but alas.

elaine was a character present in the lucifer comics, so i personally think they should have done that if only because elaine would have been a lot more fun. there would have been more stakes. but i guess they kinda already threw away their god. it’s been awhile since i watched it so forgive me if i forget some things, but i’m pretty sure they already found a replacement but that’s what elaine was meant to be.

the elaine plotline would have been so much more interesting, and imo, a way better introduction to michael. there were moments where the show was clearly trying to drag out some feelings- SO WHY NOT WHEN LUCIFER KILLS HIM ( technically not his fault but you get what i mean ). since apparently the lucifer on netflix feels a lot more it could’ve been. something. instead we had some weird shit going on. i’m ngl i still don’t understand the lore but hey.

anyways in sum, yes. i would have preferred elaine.

Is the Lucifer show worth watching?

this entirely depends on your perspective. i watched it, and while it is somewhat enjoyable ( until the last season. imo that season kinda sucked ), it is not at all comic book accurate. i get their take on a lucifer, but it is not vertigo lucifer if that’s what you’re searching for. like i didn’t even know that was their goal. i thought it was just something silly and fun for our entertainment.

you see mazikeen, sure, but it’s not mazikeen if that makes sense ( no hate to her in the show though i’m in love with her ). chloe was never a character. they don’t handle the same topics. the character arcs are different. it’s,,, very different.

still a fun show, somewhat, but not comic book accurate whatsoever. up to you, though!

Do you like Elaine and Lucifer’s relationship?

i like how it seems no strings attached, if that makes sense.

i think people sometimes perceive it as father/daughter, but i don't see it that way. honestly, i think lucifer is more of an estranged guy who is guiding her through things because it's easier than the alternative. but i do like that it seems that, here and there, he's somewhat placed some trust in her.

letting her be a god in his world, and later in the main universe as the new god. her seeming to rely on him a little, and he's not too bothered by it, though as he usually does, he makes it clear it's not a permanent, always going to happen thing. i like that he remains lucifer, but you get to see a slightly different side of him. i like it. i think it's fun and entertaining, especially with a character like lucifer.

forever, lucifer. you had your own beliefs and values, you defied from your siblings.

he was stuck in hell for ten billion years, at least, by his own words. ten billion- even by angel time, that is so incredibly long. he doesn’t feel any remorse for it- but he’s free.

or, well, he will be.

but he’s a fun character, very in depth. people like to act like he doesn’t care. but as i like to focus on, he is capable of feeling emotion- however, when you’re the “perfect” angel at first, then get crash landed into hell for rebelling, critical thinking, having your own voice, you don’t reflect on them. I want to sit him down and peek into his brain.
