He had been to a fair share of these events, and for different reasons, though there was one thing he had noticed. The boring normality of it all. It was so human.  And yet, he contained a bit of humanity within himself after all. He was no monster even though some would call him that. “Mh, yes. To be fair, I hadn't either.” He kept his charming smile towards her, though at this point he looked towards the dessert table, trying to find something that appealed to him at least a little bit. 

His gaze moved over the different types of desserts seemingly not finding anything good until he spotted some square shaped very dark chocolate bites upon a silver tray. He picks one, before his deep green gaze moved back to her, ending up watching as she ate the strawberry. 

“I am enjoying it far more now.” He takes note of her every movement, the smirk as well as the cheeky grin before he plops the dark chocolate bite he picked up into his mouth - chewing it with a slight neutrality. “The good thing about events such as these, is the opportunity to meet interesting individuals, don't you think?” Again, that charming smile flashed towards her, silently admiring her choice of outfit.

Ellyn had spotted her favorite confection at that dessert table--dark chocolate-covered strawberries were her absolute weakness at functions like this. Naturally, she made sort of a beeline for them and while avoiding running into one person, her little half-turn brought her face-to-chest with a rather tall and handsome male. By the time her gaze skated over his charming smile to meet his eyes, she felt that supernatural awareness prickling her aura and giving her goosebumps. Still, she outwardly appeared nonchalant with a bordering tinge of flirty amusement.

"I might after I get a few of those strawberries...I wasn't expecting it to be quite this busy or packed." A small pout tugs at her lips before she grabs a little napkin and four of those berries. She bites one in half with a soft hum and eats it before licking her lips and peering at him from beneath her eyelashes. Fuck it.

"Is it safe to assume you aren't exactly enjoying it either? I mean, you're here at the desserts table same as I am." There's mischief in her eyes then as she smirks before finishing off the rest of that berry with a cheeky grin. @luciferwolfe

As the realisation dawned upon him that she'd just said it to get a reaction - just because she could - he gained a light frown. He didn't much like being played with, not like that anyway. Still, he wasn't one to argue. Not for so little. "No reason needed at all."

“It felt fitting?” He questioned, arching a brow, a small smirk playing at the corners of his lips. “Because I am young?” He wasn’t that young though. Surely didn’t feel like it at least.

The vampire couldn't help but smirk, smoke billowing from from between lips. After a brief moment of thought she just shrugged. She didn't know why she said it further than to get a reaction out of him. Her gut told her that was something more there but he'd stamped it down rather quickly.

Impressive really. "Do I need a reason to why what's on my mind? God you're such a young thing... It felt fitting."

It was clear now she might have just been being an ass. She never put faith in anyone's age. She might have been over 600 herself, but she knew it didn't account for much.

Just what kind of human this human was, was beyond Lucifer's knowledge, and while he found it to be rather curious - he was not one to judge. There were plenty of species out and about, many that he had never met let alone any knowledge about. He didn't at all mind. 

When the other spoke, Lucifer took note of how hoarse their voice sounded and it dawned upon him. They were sick. When he then got it confirmed, Lucifer arched an eyebrow slightly. “Yes.. You are in my territory.” While he was rather curious as to why they were there, he felt that it did not matter much. Not right now.

“Can I offer treatment for your illness?”

The sudden voice made Jacky jolt awake, emitting a noise that sounded like a dog's whimper. Though, he was human - or at least that was how it seemed - so how that could've happened was a surprise. The wolf also released a small whimpering sound as it licked Jacky's cheek once, as if bringing him back to the present.

Jacky sniffled as he made eye contact with the person talking to him. Hoping the other couldn't sense it, Jacky took a couple of sniffs and was able to catch the scent. Vampire. He had never seen one before, but he'd heard stories of them. He was careful with his wording and body language, trying not to startle the other.

"I'm.. fine." He spoke, though his voice was hoarse, likely from the sickness. "I'm just a little sick, that's all... I'm sorry, am I in your territory?"

"I understand." And he did, in fact, understand. While he couldn't exactly relate to it due to a troubled past and difficulties allowing himself to trust, he knew that some carried the gift of trusting. Whether that was trusting their own heart or others, it was surely something he admired. A skill he lacked to some degree, even if he had gained an ability to read others rather well throughout the years, trusting his own heart was.. difficult. Trusting others were easier. He smiled when she seemed to lean into his touch, yet he did not want to overstep any borders, thus not giving any further touches. Yet at least. Instead he leaned back into the back of the couch and kept his smile as he responded to her query. "Well.." His smile widened, reaching his eyes now as she ran her finger across his collar bone and then gave him that light poke. "Curiosity is a gift. Treasure it. As for trusting you, I do believe I can. You're.. calming. I like that. Although.." He paused for a brief moment, as if considering his words. "I do wonder why you've chosen to trust me? You don't have to answer that now, or at all if you do not wish to. Just.. consider it." Something within those deep green eyes told of a worry, a pain perhaps which had him wanting to warn of the danger he brought in his wake.

"I am the sort to give the benefit of the doubt and trust my heart. It has rarely lead me astray." eyes closed at the soft touch to her head and she leaned into it a bit before he pulled his hand away. It was funny a simple touch could be so relaxing.

"And what of me? Do you think you can trust me?" arching a brow she ran a finger across his collar bone and poked the middle of his chest gently. "Call me curious sugar."
