Time For The Up Coming July Elections! & A Little Heads Up For August Elections!

Hey Everyone! Just continuing the heads up about the next months elections! So please spread the word as much as you possibly can! Especially since there aren't many elections happening in July. Spread the word online, in person, a passing comment, however you can! Keep people informed!

Also know that in August there is some massive, and I do mean MASSIVE! Big important elections going on. With multiple special primary elections happening in one day, many state senate and house of representative seats up for election, in the first week of August. Mississippi you've got 2 House of Representative seats and 5 state senate seats up for special election. Rhode Island you've got 1 state senate seat. Washington you've got 4 House of Representative seats and 5 State Senate seats.

17 special election seats up for election on August 5th. Keep that info in mind people of Mississippi, Rhode Island, and Washington. Now that you know this info in advance, do what you can to get in and vote! Hide baby sitters, request that day off, take a sick day if needed, just get in and vote!

Use the Ballotpedia to know if your state district is one of the districts that's having an election! So make sure you check to see if it's your district!

Now July doesn't have as many elections going on. With only 5 days to vote. This message was meant to go out on Saturday so people could be prepared more for this first vote but I forgot to post and it got saved to the drafts folder! My bad!

There are only 2 big seats that are coming up this month, two special primary elections!

If a state has a bunch of stuff going on I'll list it with a little blorb leading up to the list of all the states having an election that day, using 3 --- to separate between the days.

Prepare, plan, vote for better representatives, and people who will actually be there and listen to the people who put them in office!

California you've got a County Board of Supervisors happening this day!

I've confused myself...

Okay so I'm making this quick short lil Dreamtale comic that came to mind after reading a fanfic on A03 the other day. It'll be 3 pages long and I've almost finished the second page.

But as I'm thinking about the third page and how the final page is gonna look (and honestly I might actually expand on this story idea later). I'm wondering... would it technically need a sorta warning on it? Mostly cause of the final panel for the page.

Cause like, technically if there was blood, guts, entrails, and all of that. It would be considered a Gore piece of some type and would need the warning... but at the same time... with the one panel... there wouldn't be any blood. No blood, or really anything else that would give it the title of gore. Mostly just some broken bones and the liquid corruption of Nightmare's goop...

So I've not confused myself on if it should get a warning or not. Especially for when I upload that pages over on DeviantArt. Cause this is mostly a DA concern with their whole censoring gore pieces.

... seriously my mind won't stop questioning it now, cause of DA guidelines and everything. Since the panel would have no blood, guts, entrails, or anything else that you'd usually use to label a piece as gore. But at the same time, with how I'm imagining this one panel (maybe 2 cause of a panel leading up to the last) it is dark and very disturbing. Eapecially with how the bones are going to be broken and how they'll look at a this specific angle. Kinda worried about any DA bots wrongly perceiving the piece and flag it, thus that profile getting in trouble... that's a lot brain! For causing me confusion, and headache, and worry all at the same time!

Now I need to go and look this up.

Sooo... Unreal Engine Coding Gods

Okay. So I've started working on some of the coding for that 3D horror game that I mentioned a bit ago. And while in the middle of working on the code... I had an idea... of a possible look of what the Unreal Engine gods may look like... and I couldn't stop myself. So here we are!

^ Yeah, Nightmare looks a little strange in that second panel there. I'm thinking of, for the last panel of this page, changing up the scene with Cross and Cinders relaxing in bed together. Haven't finished the digital outlining for it so maybe it'll be left alone. IDK fully at the moment ^

^ This page is the one that I've almost finished completely outlining. Had to do a good bit of fixing up here and there. You can also see a little beta design for Gash (XGaster) ^

^ Yeah that writing in the 5th panel is tiny. And yes in the little thought bubble in the 4th panel is a doodle idea of Cinders ecto ^

^ This one does have 2 versions to it. And it's for the 9thish panel there as you can see. With the side view of Nightmare and Cinders. ^

^ Yeah I've got some fixing to do here and there for this page. Also, this is gonna be one of the pages that I add some animation to. The second row one with Cinders eyes shifting to look from one side to the other. ^

^ Gotta fix some stuff here and there digitally for some of the characters. Mostly size wise. ^

^ In this page you can see some beta designs to a few characters. Some random humans. A beta design for Epic, Blackberry, and a possible Beta design for Core's Dad. ^

^ Yeah page 9 has 2 pages to it. You see while I was working on this page, and started setting up the layout for it digitally I realized that I needed to add a few more panels onto it. So I took a second page and sketched up those extra panels. ^

^ IDK why I was having such a hard time sketching up the side views of these 2 for this page but I was. An easy fix for the digital pages. Some bleppy Cinders and Cross too! ^

I THOUGHT SOMETHING WAS FISHY!!!

Okay I'm adding onto this as I've learned that this person who messaged me is most likely a scammer. Glad I don't have a PayPal or anything like that right now. At least I know of this scam now, and I'm glad that, that person has deactivated their account.

I thought it was strange that they deleted their account. So I looked deeper into it to see if I could find anything. And welp, I found this post from OliviaShorthair who talked about a scam that they went through that was similar to what happened to me

While Olivia's scam was about someone wanting to make a mural of one of their cats. Mine was about someone wanting to use one of my pieces as a guideline/pose, and said that they'll make sure to credit me. They didn't mention anything about any payment till after my first message.

I'll leave the persons account name visible since they already deactivated their account. But if it does become active again you all know to keep an eye out on it.

So yep this was fun to learn! Be careful out there people, and I'm glad I don't have any form of online payment method yet!

Strange Interaction of the day

Okay so over on my DA page I've had a strange interaction. Wondering if it was something fishy but I've got no clue. You see someone had messaged me and asked if they could use one of my art pieces as a guideline/pose for an art project of theirs. I gave them the green light, saying that I didn't mind if they used one of my pieces as a guideline/pose.

They then messaged me again (saw the reply like 3 hours after the fact) and started to reply to them, only to find out after (when I had typed up my reply to them) that they've apparently deleted their account??? Which is strange. Though I did follow the account, and liked some of the artwork that they had posted.

I've got absolutely no clue what's going on there. 🤷‍♀️

So yep that just happened.

Different Code Gods

Okay so I'm working on making a horror game right now (technically I've got like 3 games I'm making). I'm taking a break from the main pixel game I'm working on, there is another pixel game that I've got in the works but that one has got way more assets, that I'd need to make pixel art for, so that one is just sitting on the back burner for right now. This game idea I'm working on is a horror game that's gonna have a bunch of 3D models.

Anyways I'm debating on which Code Gods I wanna deal with. Do I wanna go a slightly simpler route and just deal with the Unreal engine code gods? Or should I go with a harder and more complex code?

Like facing and working with the Python code gods? Or the Visual Studio Code Gods? Maybe giguring out the Java Code Gods? Maybe give the JavaScript Code Gods a try? See how hard some of them are.

Hmm... Eh I'll figure that out later. I've got plenty of time to figure it out.

Wonderful yet painful Storms. Yay!

So that thunderstorm decided to roll up. Had to turn my computer off. Don't want a lightning bolt ro destroy anything. Now I'm playing the waiting game. Can't do any any digital artwork, coding, or modeling till it's gone. And so far the weather has said that it'll be thunderstorming... not only for the rest of this week but all of next week... fun 🙃

Welp... guess I'll just finish these two panels and figure out what imma be doing.

Guess aside from sketch work, using a laptop ta type stuff up, and other things. I'll just call this break time!

Lil Apothecary AU Question

Okay. So I've almost finished sketching all the pages for Cinders and Nightmare's Chat mini comic. I'm finishing up the last page so far, gotta get these last few panels sketched up and hope this up coming thunderstorm doesn't happen anytime soon.

But anyways! I'm wondering if anyone wants to see the these hand sketch pages to the comic. Like the hand sketch pages are a mess in some parts. As they look messy in hand sketch form, and all that is getting fixed in the digital version.

Like if you were to put the hand sketch pages next to the digital pages, you'd have some questions about things. Like "How the heck is the characters head so small in this panel?" "Why is that background so small here?" "That layout is different" "What's with the tiny super messy hand writing!" "Those panel notes for fixes XD" "Why is this thing missing from the hand sketch pages?"

The sketch pages will be uploaded all together (With some comments here and there about some stuff for some of the panels) so the story stays together and in order. And those pages are gonna be a mess. Obviously.

I'm just curious if people wanna see the mess that's the hand sketch pages. Gonna have to put a see through watermark over top when I post them, if people wanna see the messy sketch pages.

The Pure Hate Of Windows Forced Updates

So I had to close stuff down my my computer and reset it. Cause it was doing a dumb thing that was annoying, nothing back just changing the background picture to black whenever I hovered over an icon on the monitor screen.

Just an annoying thing that I wanted to fix right away with a simple reset to my computer. Nothing crazy. BUT NO! Windows insists that it must update against what I say now of all times.

And now:

It's stuck on this stupid clean up screen!

Theres a reason I always delay the updates and this is why. Always taking forever on the stupid clean up screen! >:(

I've got no clue how long it'll take for it to finish updating... been waiting for almost 20 minutes now. I wanna get back to work on my stuff ya dumb update. So hurry up clean up phase!

Apparently I'll need to get another sketchbook. I bought a 11 x 14 sketchbook recently to be able to work on some of the Apothecary AU mini stories, but now that I'm thinking about it. I probably should also buy 1 or 2, 9 x 12 sized sketchbooks. So if the story doesn't need such a large size of paper then I'd have a smaller one to work from.

Well that and to sketch some more fun random apothecary stuff. Like this mermaid version of the characters I've got in mind. With Nightmare and the others doing their own things... welp that's a decent problem for future me.

I'm also working on a fun apothecary au piece that I might record myself working on and upload as a speedpaint. Maybe... maybe I should also try streaming myself working on the AU some time... maybe? Idk. Just randomly talking over here.

Working On A Commissions Page

I'm working on making a commissions page to start taking well commissions. I'm still ranging out the prices to everything and figuring out how the heck I wanna set the page layout as to show the prices and artwork.

That and I'm still working on some of the artwork/finding art that I've finished to show off the prices of everything based on what I'll be doing. That way everyone knows what to expect based on what you want.

Never made a commissions page before, so I'mma just roll with whatever layout comes to mind and probably make like... 3 or 4 different versions before finally settling on the one that I'm gonna use... but this'll be fun ^.^

I'm thinking of taking, at least for now, taking up to 10 commissions at a time. That way I don't over do it and give myself too much to do, be able to take my time on each one that I'm given, and still have some time on the side to work on my own projects/take breaks, and all of that.

Plus depending on what someone wants, the price and everything will very. Like for example if someone wants a shaded character but a simple colored background... anyways stopping myself from rambling on. I've still got a good bit of stuff figured out before I posted the commission page with the prices and stuff that I will and won't be doing. Along with making a small list of things that I will do and wont be doing for commissions. At least those lists won't be that long.

I'm also thinking of making a Ko-fi account (not for taking commissions but for the Tips feature that it has). Anyways I just giving a heads up. As there have been a few people who's asked if I do commissions. So they along with anyone else that wants a commission done will know to keep an eye out for when the commissions page is finished and posted.
