My new Goodtimeswithscar merch came today! The button pins arrived a bit ago in a separate package, but everything else came together. I put all the hat buttons I got on my backpack, but the portal and the kitties went on my work hat (not shown here). I also got the portal t-shirt and crew neck, but I couldn’t get any good photos (they are AWESOME though). I got the smallest sticker and button sizes, and I got the shirts in a 2X because the website says they run small, but as someone who regularly wears an XL or 1X they’re a little oversized (which I like so I win anyways) so take that as you will. Anyways if you haven’t already I would recommend checking out the new merch, everything is really good quality and I’m so happy with it!

New ref for artfight (I've been procrastinating lol)! This is one of my WOF ocs, Geode. She's a Cavewing, which is a fantribe of mine. I might make a dedicated post for them eventually, but they are kind of self-explanatory. They live in a system of tunnels and caves beneath Pyrrhia, and have excellent dark vision, making them sensitive to light (thus the goggles). She's one of the main characters for a hypothetical arc I would write and I love her to death.

Microsoft Office, like many companies in recent months, has slyly turned on an “opt-out” feature that scrapes your Word and Excel documents to train its internal AI systems. This setting is turned on by default, and you have to manually uncheck a box in order to opt out.

I won’t beat around the bush. Microsoft Office doesn’t make it easy to opt out of this new AI privacy agreement, as the feature is hidden through a series of popup menus in your settings:On a Windows computer, follow these steps to turn off “Connected Experiences”:

File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options > Privacy Settings > Optional Connected Experiences > Uncheck box: “Turn on optional connected experiences”

We suggest taking some time to prepare! Update your characters, curate those bookmarks with our shiny new folders, and work on those refs we know you've been putting off...

Drawing attacks before the event begins is strictly disallowed and can result in your account being banned. However, storyboarding and thumbnailing is permitted so long as not directly used within the finished work (i.e., tracing).

So the new chapter is obviously great, but the thing that really stuck out to me was this panel at the beginning

The single stair in Scar’s house. It’s such a small detail, but it really effectively sets up the conflict of the episode.

It’s a reminder every time he leaves his bedroom that this space was not made for him. It also wouldn’t be a problem for Hot Guy, but Scar has to deal with it every day.

Considering how much of the rest of the episode is spent establishing a disconnect between Scar and his friends, especially due to the Hot Guy persona, the stair is the perfect detail to include.
