Simon Eriksson is a classically trained tenor, one of the best in the world. He is known for being a difficult person to work with. He is a guest artist with many companies. Wilhelm is concertmaster with the Swedish Symphony. They meet under difficult circumstances. They are both immersed in the classical music universe, Wilhelm reluctantly. Our good friend Boris will play a part in this story. There have been some singers with legendary bad behavior. Simon is modeled after them. Not canon at all!!!

I will be away from my computer (and phone) until the 24th. On retreat. My beta and I have a new fic in the works. I might be able to publish the 1st chapter before I leave tomorrow. Then I'm gone again until July 1st. I am gone again for 2 weeks the last of July. I might write while I'm gone. In the meantime, I'll be watching A Lif'e Worth when I get back AND I'll finally meet my beta and we'll go see (oh god) 28 Years Later together.

In the meantime, It's Always Been You is finished.

The Morning After

I wrote a RPF after the London Concert...and orphaned it. AO3 allows writers to publish elsewhere even though we can't claim it as our own on their platform. I now regret orphaning it but live and learn. it's the only RPF I've written, more comfortable in the ficion world with Simon and Wilhelm instead of the real actors. So with some unease, I don't think I'm breaking any rules. Here is the link:

I'll go see 28 Years Later. I won't like it. I'm sure I won't like it. I can barely watch Gasmamman. I know, I know, it's just fiction. And we watch baby Edvin acting for many seasons. We watch him grow up. That boy grew into the young man he is now. With a neck like a swan. Beautiful.

I deeply admire all fanfic authors. A few years ago, I never would have imagined stepping into this world, but now I can’t imagine being without it. He continues to find the notes, humming to himself. There are a few tears on his cheeks. Oh, how he has missed music, being able to sing and play. His first love. How did it all go so wrong, get so fucked up? How did he allow others to dictate how, when and what he sang? How had he allowed himself to be co-opted and stolen? This song, wrenched from his heart would never have been recorded. It was too personal, too autobiographical. As he sings the last note, he whispers ‘Wille, this one’s for you.’
