What would you do if money was no object?

Got this prompt from @jo_franco day 21 of her journal challenge and thought it would be fun to hop on here and share my thoughts!

I would continue my education at university, and find my passion in my courses. Right now, I think I’d let myself dream of medical school and becoming some sort of pediatric physician, but I know science isn’t exactly my forte so we’ll see. I would buy my mom a house, heck 5 houses. I would travel on winter break and in the summer, bringing my family and friends along to Hawaii, Paris, NYC, everywhere I’ve always wanted to go. I would donate a significant portion of whatever I had to cancer research, as well as humanitarian organizations such as UNICEF and World Wildlife Fund. I would go on mission trips. I would do a coding bootcamp, or continue pursuing CS as a major in uni and as soon as I graduate or even sooner, I would start working on some biotech. I would bring my best friend to the Met, the Louvre and all the famous art galleries for some inspiration. Hit all Seven Wonders of the World. Go to Paris, New York, Milan, Copenhagen Fashion Week. I would eat some fine food, but hire a personal trainer to tone up and keep it off my waist. Try to give back whenever and wherever I can. Give to mental health organizations and research. Give to organizations fighting against human trafficking. Give to food banks, support for veterans. Adopt four dogs. I would do all of this, and much more. 

Also how many times did I use “would” here haha!

Introductory post (see last reblog)

Hi everyone!

I am lumosetudes, and I created this tumblr as a way for me to express myself creatively AND perhaps give myself some study motivation. 

I saw this list of asks (see last reblog) and just HAD to answer them because they were so aesthetic~ so here goes. 

I hope this will serve as a nice introduction of me! 

Here goes nothing!

angel-yes, my mom absolutely! 100% no doubt about it. maybe my best friend, depending on my mood and the action (so technically no lolll)

galaxy-lots of things!! i like history, books, food (I just love it ok lol), the world, travel, poetry, human behavior, tv and movies, music, I could go on forever lol

melody-my music taste is ever-evolving and v scattered, but I do love Lauv, LANY, Taylor Swift, BTS, Riley Clemmons, Hillsong United/Worship/Y+F, Elevation, (basically every Christian artist), Kelsea Ballerini, IU, NCT-127, Ariana Grande, the list goes on...

silk-I love high waisted pants with a leather jacket and a tee layered over a long sleeve with my black heeled boots. 

rose-hmm, i guess roses lolll (as u can tell im not exactly a flower connaisseur) 

sun-i actually really love winter for Christmas and snow, but i also love summer haha

film- Movie is probably Home Alone 1 and 2 (cuz I watch it every Christmas and its a cheesy, hilarious, comfort watch for me) but I’m seeing Little Women soon so I FEEL it will acc be that one; maybe the Harry Potter series, or Avengers:Endgame lol. TV show is Criminal Minds, closely followed by Sherlock. 

gorgeous- i value trustworthiness, loyalty and honesty ABOVE everything lol. i have trust issues (don’t we all) and i just value people who are genuine and true. (can u see my Hufflepuff coming out). a good sense of humor, kindness, and EMPATHY are so important too. i value someone who i know makes me a better person.

infatuation-uhm first official crush would have to be... morning (keeping it cryptic cuz im paranoid)

dream-5-6h on schooldays, anywhere between 8-12h on holidays.

brilliant- this is a hard one cuz I LITERALLY LOOK LIKE NOBODY. but my cousin mentioned AngelaBaby, and I kinda agree? sort of. 

perfume- favorite scent, in general, would either be something baking or the sea?

fleece-sadly no, but i would love a husky/german shepherd/golden retriever/corgi/beagle when I’m older. And a cute cat too lol

 pigment-naturally black, if I could dye it I’d probably go for dark brown with light highlights.

charcoal- i think i do. I'm definitely closer to one over the other lol. 

ocean- no, but i guess i take a bi-yearly vacation to my motherland.

murky- we gon’ get deep lol, i guess it would be losing my loved ones. (so the fear of abandonment/isolation?)

devotion- nope! 

lingerie- a hoodie and sweats!

daydream-  i would pick the three instances that made me LITERALLY cry happy tears... getting into the IB program (lol don’t know why that moved me but it did), seeing my grandmother after 3 and a half years, and having a spiritual moment to ‘Oceans’ at church (it was the first time a worship song touched me and since then worship is my everything lol). 

joy- complete peace and love through God’s presence after an emotional breakdown, just the knowledge that I am seen in my ‘broken prayers’. 

masque- i have none? which is really bad lol. i just wash my face and that’s it.

valentine- love lollll. but seriously. 

parchment- Harry Potter.

garden- nope, i love nature but i feel like atm, I'm not the patient type to have a garden lol.

oasis- it’s always been Paris for me. 

sense- best and favorite subject would be history. I completely love it. 

footprints- yes, i do! i think 3 would be a good #, 2 girls and a boy. 

rainbow- pretty straight lol.

sweater- loose over baggy clothes.

nail laquer- i feel more like pastel tones, but i like black so lol. 

1975- to be completely honest, I would want to be alive when Jesus was, so I could witness in person his miracles and teachings. 

tattoos- i don’t but i feel like such a rebel cuz i actually want tattoos and piercings. i’ve wanted the word “faith” in the shape of a cross for the LONGEST time and I feel like I am that person who would get 10 meaningful tats lol. as for piercings, i feel like double earlobe piercings would look great. i would go for a helix piercing but im too much of a chicken lol.
