When I was little, I had a neighbor who I knew, but wasn't close to. I don't remember her name. I do remember her dogs name though. It was Shadow.

One day an ambulance came to her house. Out of curiosity I watched out the door. I saw them bring her out on a stretcher. She never came back. I learned she died from a drug overdose, when I got older.

Quite awhile ago, I was temporarily staying at my parents house. Only for a month or so. So this lady's house was across the street from me yet again. One afternoon I hear a bird's call I never heard before in my city. Pretty loud too. My first thought was someone's pet bird got out, so I go look.

It's a Raven!! So I grab my camera and head outside. It's on the chimney of the house she lived in. It sat there for awhile looking down at me so I got a few good pictures.

I've never seen a Raven since then. Google says they're pretty abundant in my state, but don't really go into the cities. So for some reason this particular one decided to, and decided to land on this woman's chimney for awhile. Coincidence? Maybe. But I don't believe in coincidence too much.
