There was trouble collecting the stones in New York, and Tony and Steve had to risk traveling even further back in time without the Pym particle to bring them back to your time unless things went right. You hugged Steve tight and told him to be careful before traveling back to after the snap.
When everyone had returned - well, almost everyone - Tony and Bruce got to work building a gauntlet to hold the stones and reverse the snap. You stood with Clint and just held his hand to comfort him after the loss of Natasha. She was a good friend to you, and all of the Avengers, and to lose her to get the soul stone hurt everyone.
“Clint, I’m so sorry.” You rested your head on his shoulder, looping one arm around his to hold on.
“I miss her.”
“I know. But she sacrificed herself to save billions. And I’m so proud of her for that.” You stepped in front of him to look at him. “Can I show you something?”
Clint gave you an odd look but let you lead him to a garden you’d set up after the snap as a memorial to the Avengers you had lost. You visited the spot you’d arranged for Bucky quite frequently, sitting and meditating to make your peace with the loss of your fiance. You visited the others, and added small memorials as you discovered people missing, up until you had to get away from everyone for a while. Clint’s family’s was right beside Bucky’s, with Peter on the other side.
When Tony first returned and told you who was lost on Titan, you added memorials for everyone, starting with Peter. He was just sixteen... You had seen Tony visiting it when he could finally move around on his own. And when he first came back after five years away, he visited again.
“Building this for everyone, it helped me. I visit Bucky’s memorial every single day, and just...sit.” You knelt in front of Bucky’s photo, carefully lighting the candle set in front of it. “I disappeared for a while a few months after the snap, but I still had a memorial for Bucky. It kept me sane.”
“You made one for Laura?” Clint looked at the photo of his family.
“And the kids. I light all the candles when I get here, and let them go out before I leave, because fire safety, ya know?” You chuckled.
“Thank you. It means a lot.”
You stood and gave Clint a hug. “Of course. I’ll give you some space, okay?”
He nodded, and sat in front of the photos of his family. You extinguished the rest of the candles in the garden, leaving just Laura’s and the kids.
“Hey, where have you been?” Steve walked up behind you as you started for the kitchen.
“I was showing Clint the memorial garden.” You explained. Steve fell into step beside you. “How’s the new gauntlet coming along?”
“They’re working on it. Should be done soon.”
“And then what? We just, snap everyone back?”
“That’s the plan. It should work.”
“I hope so. I miss him so much, Steve.”
“I know you do. Come on, let’s grab something to eat and then check on the gauntlet.”

“Steve, I... I don’t know what to do now.” You sat at the edge of the woods after Thanos disappeared. Seeing Bucky disappear like that... The anguish you felt as he turned to ash...
Thanos had the final stone. He snapped his fingers. Seconds later people started to disintegrate and disappear. You turned to look for Bucky; he had been fighting alongside Rocket. You locked eyes just he disappeared, reaching out towards you.
You screamed, your powers pouring out in response to the strong emotions you felt, fire scorching your immediate area as you sent flames towards every enemy in your vicinity, killing them as they continued to attack your friends and allies.
“I don’t know either, Y/N. We’ll figure it out; we always do.” Steve set a reassuring hand on your shoulder. “Let’s... figure out our next step.”
“Yeah... okay.” You accepted his hand to pull you to your feet, and wrapped an arm around his waist as you walked towards some of the other survivors.
---
You missed Bucky terribly. Your efforts to find Thanos, to reverse what he had done, weren’t going well. You had a new ally: Captain Marvel, also known as Carol Danvers. She had appeared shortly after the discovery of a pager that belonged to Nick Fury.
Her help was greatly appreciated, especially when she discovered the ship Tony and an alien named Nebula were stranded on and brought them home to Earth. Pepper was so grateful to have Tony home, and the two of them married quickly after they had found Thanos and killed him after discovering he had destroyed the infinity stones.
---
The wedding was nice, surprisingly simple for a man like Tony, but after everything that had happened, it seemed exceedingly extravagant to have a huge wedding. Steve was your date, hoping to distract you from the fact that you and Bucky had originally planned to attend together.
“Congratulations, Pepper. You and Tony really deserve this.” You hugged your friend tightly. The two of you had bonded over losing your long-term partners, but when Tony reappeared, you and Pepper began to drift apart some.
“Thank you, Y/N. I’m really glad you came to the wedding. I know Steve said you were having second thoughts.”
“Yeah. But I knew I’d regret missing it. It just reminds me of Bucky a little too much.” You gave a half shrug. “I’ll be okay. I just miss him.”
“I know you do. I’m always here to talk, or just to listen, if you need me.” Pepper offered.
“I know. Thank you. Now go enjoy your celebration.” You gave her one last hug and then pushed her towards the dance floor, turning to head to the open bar to settle in for the rest of the evening.
---
“Y/N.”
Your heart dropped when you heard Steve say your name.
“Steve, please. I can’t.”
It had been nearly five years since the last time you saw him. After Pepper’s wedding, you moved away from New York, traveling around before settling down in DC. You had visited again when Morgan was born, excited to meet Tony Stark’s child. It was weird to see him settled down like that, but he was happy and so was Pepper.
“Y/N, we may have figured out how to reverse what Thanos did.”
You turned around, staring up at Steve. “How?”
“I’ll explain when we get home.” He held out his hand. “Come on, we could use you.”
You sighed, but took his hand and let him lead you to his motorcycle. He handed you a helmet as you straddled the seat behind him, holding onto his waist as you started your drive north.
---
“Time travel... Are we sure this will work?” You asked after you had all suited up and stepped onto the platform. You were joining Steve, Tony, Scott, and Bruce in 2012 to get the stones that were there during the Battle of New York.
“It has to.”
“Everyone ready?”
Bruce started up the machine and you disappeared all together to your respective times and destinations. You landed in New York 2012 with the boys, looking around at the destruction from Loki and the Chitauri before you split up to collect the three infinity stones in the area.

You opened the door to Ray’s bedroom, finding him sprawled across the top of his comforter, sound asleep. It was noon, the day after a late stream, and you felt bad having to wake him.
“Ray, hon, you’ve gotta get up.” You sat beside him in the bed, gently shaking him until he groaned and turned onto his back.
“Do I have to? Why don’t we just stay in bed all day?” He leaned up and pulled you into him, dragging you down to lay next to him in bed. Ray kissed your forehead, your nose, your cheek, and finally your lips, leaving you with that warm fuzzy feeling that only he gave you.
“I guess I can tell Lindsay I’m sick... I’m sure she and Michael will understand if we have to reschedule.” You reached for your phone, shooting your friend a quick message before you settled in for a long afternoon of cuddling and relaxing.

You sat behind the cameras, watching the Off Topic podcast while sketching an idea for a new shirt. Michael and Ryan were arguing about something ridiculous, and Jeremy was doing shots. Gavin was pouring his best attempt at a beer, mostly head with a little bit of beer on the bottom. You shook your head at his pour, and frowned at Jeremy's reckless shot-drinking.
He was going to need a ride home. And it wasn't going to be from you.
You saw Michael turn his head to look at you, smiling just a little before he turned around to make fun of Gavin. It was past two o'clock, and the podcast was getting near its ending point. You were waiting to be able to go to lunch with Michael, just the two of you for once. Most work days resulted in lunch at your separate desks, or out with all your coworkers. You hadn't told anyone yet that you were dating; you wanted to see where things led first.
Michael ended the podcast, and they quickly moved on to the shorter post-show, talking about nonsense and Jeremy drinking way too much.
When the guys were finished, and had helped clean up some of their mess, you followed behind the four guys back to the office. You walked past them to the support office, going to your desk in the corner. You put your sketchbook away in the bottom drawer, grabbing your purse and keys before leaving to meet Michael.
"Hey, ready for lunch?" Michael greeted you outside.
"Yep. It is still just us, right?"
"Yes. Are you sure you still want to keep us a secret?"
"It's easier right now." You replied.
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes. We started dating right before I became a full time employee." You reminded him. "People will think that's why."
"But it's not, Y/N. Please. I want everyone to know how much I care for you." Michael told you, placing his hands against your cheeks and squishing your face.
You grabbed his wrists and pulled his hands away, laughing at him.
"I care for you, too. Let me have you to myself for one last weekend?" You smiled up at him.
"One last weekend."
You leaned up and pressed your lips to his cheek briefly, before pulling away and walking next to him to your car.
~~~
The weekend passed way too quickly, as all enjoyable things do. You spent the weekend at Michael's apartment, playing games and watching movies, and alternating between fast food and Blue Apron meals you cooked together.
When the two of you arrived at work on Monday, you held hands as you walked into the office. You were happy with Michael, and happy to finally tell all your friends, but you were nervous about their reactions and the future reactions of the fans.
"Michael? Y/N? Why are you guys holding hands?" Jeremy asked as you walked in.
"Why do you think, Jeremy?" Michael rolled his eyes at him.
"Oh, finally." Lindsay wrapped her arms around you. "I'm glad you're both happy."
"Thank you, Lindsay." You hugged her tightly back, thankful that she was happy for you. She and Michael had previously dated, and broke up amicably, but you had still been nervous for her reaction.
"Maybe Michael will be less of an asshole." Geoff said.
"That's not likely." You replied, laughing.
"I'll see you at lunch, okay?" Michael kissed your cheek before you left and headed into the support room, happy to no longer have to hide your relationship.
