✨ Zodiac Signs have minor effects on personality and can affect Social Compatibility & Autonomy between any two Sims!

**Base game compatible.

**Compatible with all my other mods.

The social compatibility pairings and sign descriptions originated from Sims 1 and 2

Addon to assign Zodiac Signs based on current Seasons/ randomly when a Newborn Baby aging up to an Infant

Cheat to pick Zodiac Signs manually (All Ages)

Cheat to let the game determine a Sim's Zodiac Sign based on their personality traits (Child+ Ages)

Social interactions to share Zodiac Signs info/ learn other Sims' Zodiac Signs (Child+ Ages)

Addon to pick in CAS mode and display as Personality Traits to show up in other Sims' info panels.  (Child+ Ages) Please notice that using this addon will take up a personality traits slot (out of six default personality traits for adult Sims if not using mods to give more personality traits slots.) 

Without the addon, zodiac signs are by default GAMEPLAY traits that won't take up a personality traits slot and won't display in other Sims' info panels.

Gives occasional low-intensity +1 moodlets relating to zodiac personality. 

Signs Descriptions & Minor effects 

Each Zodiac Sign can have minor effects on moods, autonomy, and relationship gain rates. No intrusive buffs. Sims now get occasional low-intensity +1 moodlets relating to zodiac personality. (Only available to Child+ Sims & when Sims are not in very negative moods)

♈️ Aries (March 20 - April 20)

Dynamic and confident, most Aries never shy away from the opportunity to strike up a conversation with anyone. However, they can be somewhat impulsive and quick-tempered.

Mood: Angry x1.2; Confident x1.2

Autonomy: Social autonomy x1.25; Angry autonomy x1.1; Hotheaded autonomy x1.2

Buffs: Angry/ Confident +1

The typical Taurus is strong-willed and determined. That can often mean being determined to have a good time.

How to give Zodiac Signs to Sims

Four ways to add zodiac signs to Sims:

1) Auto-assign Zodiac Signs based on Seasons/ randomly when a Newborn Baby aging up to an Infant

2) Assign Zodiac Signs based on a Sim's personality (vary greatly) (located in Action menu, Child+)

3) Pick Zodiac Signs in GAMEPLAY mode (located in Action menu, All Ages)

4) Manually Add Zodiac Sign in CAS mode with Addon (Child+)

When you click on Randomize Likes and Dislikes in CAS mode, it will generate one Zodiac Sign. It won't be saved after you exit CAS mode if you have already picked Zodiac Sign for your Sim.

With chingyu_addon_ZodiacSignAutoSwitchVersion installed, it will auto-turn the infant/toddler version into the child+ version when a Toddler Sim aging up to a Child.

Autonomy: More social autonomy towards compatible signs; Less social autonomy towards incompatible signs

I won’t be play testing this one, so please let me know if you come across any issues!

General rules

For each generation complete the designated aspiration, career and skills.

Asterisk * marked points are optional, you can choose to complete these to make the challenge more difficult.

There are two colours associated with every generation. Use these for genetics (berry/vanilla), or just clothes and house decor if you wish.

Start each new generation with a small house/apartment and 1000 simoleons. If you want to make the challenge harder, you can start each generation on an empty lot with 0 simoleons (rags to riches style!)

Play on any lifespan you wish (short is not recommended).

Pointing out little moments and details of one of my fav scenes that need to be remembered.

“i love you” scene • episode 6 | part 1

this brief but intense interaction has my whole heart.

it’s one of the moments throughout the season that proves simon also played an active role - whether big or small - in rebuilding their relationship: him trying to help wille to not leave hillerska, he initiates the reunion kiss, he goes checking on him after the group presentation, he even starts an argument to confront him and express how he feels.

then he just can’t wait any longer and silently asks to talk in private, taking one more step forward.

their previous firm posture when being among people that is filled with tension as soon as they stand alone in front of each other. they nervously look around and can’t even make eye contact at first.

wilhelm’s eyes and expression: mixed feelings of relief, worry and realisation all at once.

the little smile of joy right after simon’s confession fading away, just as quickly, when he thinks about what he is willing to sacrifice for him.

simon keeps staring at wille for a bit with the softest look on his face and heart eyes. he’s full of so much love and care.

wille is the one reaching out for physical touch *pretends to be shocked*.

he’s been communicating through his love language many times and physically responding to what he was just told, by linking their hands together, is so true of him.

wilhelm caressing simon’s hand and simon caressing him back in return. a mutual gesture of affection and reassurance.

it kinda reflects them coming to terms with each other’s perspective, for the most part, and accepting that love can hurt but it’s worth the risk. because they’re ready to risk together.

they both go for a tight hug and i love the non-kissing choice. it’s not they don’t want to kiss, but a ‘us against the world’ type of hug is exactly what they need at this time. it is more intimate than any kiss could’ve been.

and simon’s hint of a smile before it.

from smiling into the kiss to smiling into the hug, so to say. wilhelm holding on to simon for dear life: the “sometimes home is a person” quote has never felt so real.

simon smelling wille’s clothes to recall his sweater’s scent. it’s a habit by now, really shows how much he was missing him and all his little things. what he had lost but finally found again, not taking it for granted.

i have thoughts on simon being so emotionally guarded throughout seasons 1 and 2.

because we don't really see him confide in anyone he's close with. and when he does, he's not really 100% vulnerable.

for example, after the sex tape scandal, linda was clearly ready to be as emotionally supportive as she needed to be for simon and, while he does accept the support, he doesn't really lean on her much throughout s1. though, this is understandable since it's strongly suggested that simon's a parentified child.

then there's ayub and rosh. the most vulnerable we see simon with these two is when they visit him post-scandal to offer support. but that's all it really is. simon doesn't really express any of the turmoil he's feeling, he just accepts the comfort his friends bring. granted, he's a lot more open with them in s2, especially with ayub whom he confides in regarding his wilhelm dilemma. but, again, those moments of vulnerability are far and few between.

well then, how about sara? i would argue this is the person he's the most vulnerable with e.g. confiding in her about the masquerade ball kiss. And while that may not seem like much, there's one small, but monumental, difference - he actually expresses how he feels. "i wanted to, i really wanted to." i seriously can't remember a time, excluding wilmon moments, where simon just expressed how he felt.

there was that one time he tried to breakup with marcus but look how that turned out

ANYWAY

tldr; simon is emotionally guarded.

now here comes wilhelm. wilhelm, who - once he was done sending mixed signals - was so unabashed and open with his love for simon, the very definition of having his heart on his sleeve.

cause wilhelm had so much love to give and so little people to give it to. it's no wonder he absolutely showered simon with it all throughout s1. and, clearly, it was something simon revelled in. cause when you're emotionally guarded 99% of the time, it feels absolutely euphoric knowing someone will push through those walls just to give you the love and affection you so desperately crave.

then the sex tape happened. then wilhelm's denial.

i can't even imagine how simon must've felt. no doubt he was absolutely relieved he didn't put down his walls any more than he already did. i can imagine the little devil on his shoulder saying: "see? this is what happens when you trust people."

which brings us to s2. simon's put wilhelm at arm's length and is attempting to move on with someone new. but it's not working, why? cause he still has feelings for wilhelm. so it's no surprise, then, that simon still finds some comfort in wilhelm's open yearning. cause it means he still has wilhelm's love and affection - something he craves - but, now, he doesn't have to be vulnerable in order to get it. he can keep his walls up and everything will be fine.

but, spoiler alert, everything is not fine.

cause simon eventually finds out that wilhelm's kissed felice and it shakes him to his core. cause the benefits of keeping wilhelm at arm's length was: receiving wilhelm's love without having to be vulnerable. but simon didn't factor in one important detail: that if simon's allowed to move on with someone else then wilhelm's allowed to move on too.

suddenly, he's confronted with the possibility of wilhelm falling in love with someone else, which he never even considered to be an option. but now it is. and simon's not happy about it.

we see it in the way he literally runs from his feelings and into marcus' arms. he mentions the kiss in front of wilhelm but, when wilhelm points out simon's hypocrisy, he gets defensive. not even a few days ago, simon was trying to break up with marcus but now he's suddenly this great guy compared to wilhelm? this is all without mentioning the masquerade ball where simon clearly parades marcus around to provoke some kind of response out of wilhelm.

tldr; simon is emotionally guarded and it causes him to act out irrationally.

which finally brings me to the point of this long-ass post.

at the masquerade ball, wilhelm decides to let simon go and, essentially, gives them both his blessing. and it's this scene where we see that simon's forced to accept three things: one, that his actions have successfully pushed wilhelm away, two, that pushing wilhelm away was the last thing he wanted and three, that he's still in love with wilhelm.

up until this point, simon had a tendency to run away whenever he was confronted with difficult feelings. but not this time. this time, he accepts and acts on his feelings.

he chases after wilhelm and he struggles - "i'm just trying to move on," "everything just got so messed up between us." simon struggles to put his walls down, he struggles to explain how he's feeling.

which brings us to the kiss. there are no words exchanged but you can't tell me this isn't simon laying all his cards on the table.

because wilhelm hasn't given simon a reason to trust him yet which is one of the biggest reasons for their relationship fallout. but when simon kisses wilhelm, he essentially lets his guard down and shows wilhelm his hand - "i don't know if i can trust you but you still have my heart and i don't want to let you go."
