“ I am not!! You were STARING at me! “ she protested, glaring at him angrily. The pat between her buns seemed to calm her slightly; keyword, slightly. “Chiba-baka---are you REALLY acting like a gradeschool bully? You could just say you liked me instead of teasing me and being an ass. “ Ugh, he was so obnoxious! Sometimes, she couldn’t stand him-- actually, she was never able to stand him. His good looks were literally his only saving grace, because his attitude towards her was absolutely sickening.... not that she noticed that he was cute. Yes, denial is the obvious answer. “ Maybe next time you should be a little more subtle. “
Whoops. Oh well. If she wanted to try to embarrass him, he’d turn her on her head. Smirking he pushed his glasses back onto his nose,
“Implying there’s anything to look at? Think those buns are too tight, bunhead, they’re making you see things,” as he grinned, patting between the buns just so. He did thoroughly enjoy bothering her. The way she bristled and snarked at him amused him, and he found himself enjoying the banter between them. Usually.
Mamoru turned his eyes back to his book, pretending to not be keenly aware of her.

Usagi had no idea, as she ran down the path at a breakneck pace. She was trying to stay in shape, to prove to everyone that she could be a good Senshi... ...though she did see Chiba-baka glancing at her.... wait, was he REALLY staring at her butt?! Irritation flashed in Usagi’s celurean hues as she marched over with every intent to do the worst thing imaginable: Embarass the living snot out of him. “ Oi, Chiba-san! Were you REALLY staring at me, you creep?! “ She was, however, blushing ever so faintly, only because that this was the first time he had shown any interest in her ( other than being an ass.)

As lunchtime drew to a close, Tsukino Usagi was sitting in the gym, waiting for class to start. The new arrival at the high school had been picked on to the point where she had to escape the lunch hall as soon as possible. Even if she was a cheerleader, she a very popular girl, tending to hang out with her new friends that were, in fact, social outcasts. It was fine, though- she didn’t care about status or anything-- she just wanted friends. These friends were Mizuno Ami, the school genius, Hino Rei, an upperclassman, Makoto Kino, the strongest girl on the wrestling team, and the bubbly Aino Minako, who was the captain of the cheer squzc, and had fitted into their close-knit circle seamlessly. ....and they were all late! Looking up from her lunch, she saw the ever-popular jock, Tenoh Haruka, going to change. She had a slight crush on Tenoh-sampai, even if he had dozens of girls throwing themselves at him for a chance to swoon over the mysterious blonde. Unbeknownst to everone however...
Haruka had a secret- a secret Usagi was about to discover. Finding it odd that Haruka went into the ladie’s room, Usagi followed, opening the door.
“ Sempai, thiss is the wrong---GAH! “

With a choked, happy sob, Usagi buried her face in Seiya's chest, staying as close as she could. Most of the people had seen their reunion, and the teen was just... so happy, so overwhelmed with joy that she could hardly stand it. A big grin pulled at her lips when she heard their promise, before leaning up to kiss their cheek. "I'm glad."
sweet reunions ⌈starlitkou⌋
Arms slung around the blonde, tightly holding her, keeping her close as can be, Seiya grinned against Usagis thick locks.
"Usagi. Usagi! I missed you too." There was a breath, and Seiya nuzzled the others hair, unwilling to let her go again. Seiya took a moment to answer the question, before nodding, mumbling out their promise.
"I’m staying right here."

"...S...Sei-chan!!!"
It was like a dream, like her feet couldn't move fast enough to fling herself into Seiya's arms. Nearly knocking the table over, she stood up to meet them, tears burning in Usagi's already-red baby blues. She all but flung herself at Seiya, burying her face into their shirt. "S...Seichan... I've missed you so much..." she whispered softly, trying to hold back the tears of joy that were so close to bubbling over. "...I can't... I can't believe you're here. Are you back for good?" she whispered, her voice soft and childish as she held onto them.

Defeated. The one word to describe what they’d felt coming back from a trip to look for the princess and two other travellers they’d left behind; knowing their presence had been felt here on Earth too, but unable to locate them, as disheartening. Seiya was a puppy with its tail between its legs.
Past the jeweler, past the-
Diner.
Seiya stopped, looking up through the windows, almost like the day they’d met the girl they’d let slip through their fingers. And just like that day, there she was.
Seiya had never run faster, bursting through the door to stop at the table in front of Usagi.
"O-oh my stars… Usa…"

sweet reunions ⌈starlitkou⌋
Usagi sighed as she stirred her ever-melting milkshake, the teen's mind wandering to her usual thoughts whenever she was here. Every month, she would come here and order cake and a shake. Every month, it was the same, mouthwatering strawberry cake that she had when she first met Seiya. It was, after all, a way to remember them. Oh, she knew how much she loved Seiya- she was just unable to tell them. "I miss you, Sei-chan..." she mumbled dejectedly, sipping on her milkshake before taking a bite of cake. What had she done wrong to lose the one person she truly couldn't live without?

"Yeah!!" She beamed at Haruka, the soft blush on her cheeks not fading in the slightest. With a shake of her head, she attempted to dislodge any stray grass or leaves, before pulling her towards the Arcade. "Alright! Well, we should definitely start at the Crown. They have amazing food, and awesome video games!"
gentle winds [kazenoheishi]
Haruka stood up and offered her hand, grinning as she helped the girl to her feet. “A lot, huh?” She rubbed the back of her head to dislodge any grass out of her hair. Haruka was curious to see just what the afternoon had in store.
"It’s Usagi, right? Take me wherever you want me to see. I’ll definitely follow anywhere." She winked.

It seemed she had the upper hand, and the fight wouldn't last long.... until the monster took aim at Haruka. With a fierce yell, Sailor Moon slammed into the monster again, causing a misfire into the sky. "Don't you even think about it, youma scum," she hissed, her fierce blue eyes darkening. With an angry roar, she then used her momentum to push the monster to the ground, taking her tiara off and flinging it into the monster's gut. It was sliced cleanly in half, the rocks fading into dust as the senshi's chest heaved lightly. Absently, she realized that she had gotten injured, the senshi clutching her wound with a soft, pained whine. "I...Itaiiiii..."
Didn’t need to tell her twice. Haruka was back to her bike in no time, starting it and about to put on her helmet when…she didn’t. Don’t ask why because Haruka couldn’t figure it out herself. She stayed out of the way but watched as this Sailor Moon fought back.
She had the upper hand. Maybe Usagi wasn’t joking…

After transforming, Sailor Moon had rushed out to fight the latest monster, the pretty soldier in a sailor suit about to rush into battle when she saw.... Haruka?! "Oi, H-civilian, get out of the way!" she yelled, before charging at the monster and body slamming into its torso, causing the top heavy beast to fall on its back. It was comprised out of rock, and was turning unlucky civilians into stone to steal their energy.
"What the hell!" A monster? With her red helmet in her hands, Haruka looked up at the thing that was before it. People screamed and ran, but she really did not want to give up her motorcycle to this thing.
Whether brave or stupid, she used her helmet as a makeshift shield. “Oi! Over here?” She moved away and hoped it would follow away from those running…and her bike.

Once again, Usagi blushed ever-so-slightly at being called "cute." To be fair, Haruka was beautiful, and Usagi couldn't fathom why such a beautiful person was calling her "cute." She wasn't really called "Cute" by non-family members, so she wasn't used to such a compliment, nor could she ever expect it. With a big smile, she then stood, before holding her hand out to Haruka. "Alright! Then, let's start off with some of the great places to hang out, alright? There's a lot of fun stuff in Juuban, you just have to know where to look."
gentle winds [kazenoheishi]
So Sailor Moon fought to protect people she didn’t even know? But why? Haruka grew up in a world that was nothing but those who shunned others for being different. Talked about those who had less or those who, in her mother’s terminology, refused to conform.
You could protect a friend, you could even protect a group of friends, family, a lover…but unknowns? Haruka couldn’t dream of it. Maybe she was just too selfish.
"Yeah sure, why not?" Haruka finally answered. "It’s a nice enough day, and I have a cute tour guide."

This morning, she was a bundle of nerves, as the timer drew close to zero. Her mother insisted she wore a cute dress, a simple white dress with a light-pink sash around her waist. The only thing that was distinct about the outfit was her Converse, something that she had put on after she left the house over her knee-highs. School came and went, and her timer was still ticking away. Without a youma fight to pass the time, she headed off in a random direction, not really caring where she went. Her mind wandered as she wondered who, exactly, would be her soulmate? A boy? A girl? What would they look like, what would their voice sound like-Her thoughts were halted as she crashed into someone, falling backwards onto the pavement. As the blonde looked up, she absently caught her timer out of the corner of her eye.Zero.Oh no, her soulmate was beautiful! Blushing darkly, she stammered out an apology, trying to dust her skirt off and stand up-it was like she was rooted to the ground, and she was mortified. So much for a first impression!"I-uh.....S-Sorry! Are you okay?"

Usagi groaned lightly as the game ended, her head feeling a bit... fuzzy. Her wrist itched, and as she turned to shoot a retort...she froze. In front of her was a tall, blonde, and stunning girl. Her wrist... She checked it, and flushed lightly. Zero. She was surprised, actually- she had waited for the day that her timer would hit zero, but... Her soulmate was stunning, and she wasn't. It was odd, how Fate decided to pair them together. A Senshi and a civilian, how ironic!! Absently, she wondered if Luna would allow her to tell her secret to her soulmate... But, this wasn't the time to debate that-right now, she needed to address her soulmate. "I do. And it's not 'Bun-head', it's Usagi." She huffed lightly, the pink blush still clinging to her cheeks. "Uh... hey, this might be a weird question, but..." "Did your timer hit zero, too?"

The nightmares were getting worse. Haruka didn’t have definite proof but she just knew. Days were starting to go by in a blur. There were even days where Haruka didn’t go behind the wheel to practice because she just didn’t have the motivation. Sleep wasn’t missed, but the nightmares continued to give stress in areas Haruka didn’t believe existed.
The arcade would be a safe place to have some fun. Talk with some like minded people with no strings attached. Flirt with pretty girls with no strings attached.
Just anything. Please.
Haruka walked inside and stared at her usual place, the F1 racing game, and discovered a young girl trying her hand. Walking up, the blonde girl’s noises of discontent become noticeable and Haruka couldn’t help a click of her tongue at the score. The girl was doing about average. Nothing to fault at. Next thing Haruka knew, it ended and a new beginning occurred. A light mental wind howled in her ears and demanded her attention. Her wrist?
It hit zero. Her?
The racer-to-be was struck with how ordinary the girl seemed. But she was also…stunning.
"So…I guess you like arcade games too, Bun-head?"

"Because nobody else will," she stated simply, "The police are afraid to get involved, and if she doesn't fight them.... who will?" It was a valid statement-who would fight to keep people safe if she did not? "Plus, she's rumored to have special abilities to combat the monsters."
"If I were her... I'd keep fighting. No matter what, to keep everyone safe. And I think that's why she's appeared! If it weren't for her, there would be monsters all over...."
She frowned at the thought, before shaking her head. "She's trying her best to protect people.... kind of like Sailor V." "Ehhhh..... haha, I got carried away. Haruka-san, did you still want that tour?"
gentle winds [kazenoheishi]
Haruka was silent for a moment, agreeing but thinking about something. This ‘Sailor Moon,’ if there were monsters and such running around the city, why not just let the police handle it? Her own life as it was now was the most important to Haruka. And, despite the realities of living with her mother, she was fighting to keep true to her own self. Why risk something so precious as your own life?
It didn’t make sense.
"…But why does she fight anyway? What’s the point of it all?"
