I am BEGGING no PLEADING for more anime fanfic writers to do proper research on the culture and typical behaviors within different countries for anime characters. I see this happen a lot with JJK fics, but people completely disregard like characters upbringing and their nationality. I get that it’s fanfic, yes I can just scroll, but like…this is permeating EVERY fanfiction. The amount of mischaracterization and also just lack of respect for different cultures because you wanna westernize these characters is why the characterizations tend to be off. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy college and other AUs as much as the next girl, but seriously? Is it so hard to just take a minute to genuinely think-hey maybe let me fact check something really quick and make sure it’s accurate. The characters you’re writing about aren’t white, nor are they black guys using AAVE. It’s erasing Asian culture and I’m gonna be so honest, I’m tired of it. We talk about representation, where is the actual representation for the culture they’re apart of. In a way, it’s like saying that they’re not desirable-saying Asian men aren’t desirable unless they’ve been whitewashed.

as a writer, i’m not gonna complain that people spam like my works. i’m just glad im being acknowledged and people are enjoying my hard work especially if i didn’t personally like the work. blocking someone for simply enjoying your works is very…strange.

if you’re scared of “shadowbanning” it doesn’t exist on tumblr. and if you don’t like the notifications then idk, turn them off? makes you look ungrateful as HELL.

sue me but some of the smaus in the jjk fandom that people make are extremely overdramatized. and what i mean by that is especially the angst ones when the character is genuinely in the right for being an asshole to the reader but of course how the cookie crumbles, the character ends up being in the wrong and apologizes.

that never really sat with me how annoying they make the reader for some shock value. why would you bother someone who obviously says they’re busy with work or just pissed off and continue to egg them on and get upset when they r fed up w ur shit?? you could easily avoid that by taking the first warning or sign that they are upset the first time and idk, take a hint ???
