One of the main characters this time; Michel and his old childhood rival/friend Isabella

Little drawing of their technically second date after being separated for about 5 years due to Isabella moving schools when they were 12 and then transferring to Jynx Academy near the start of the school year, both of them coming to the realisation while apart that how they felt toward the other in their preteen years may not have platonic after all, those feeling only growing when they reunite and spend more time together, all cheesy teen romance tropes included.

While Isabella was away, she ended up in a relationship with the son of the Geo Coven Head; Evan Powell, who proved himself to be incredibly arrogant, manipulative, controlling and Abusive toward Isabella until they broke up, and now that they're attending the academy together, Evan is pestering Isabella around the clock to win her affection back. Due to Isabella making an excuse on the fly about hanging out with Michel that night to escape Evan, the two of them decide it'd be fun and would avoid suspicion to actually go out that night, Michel recruiting the help of his dormmate Flare and using his knowledge of his mums k-dramas plans a textbook date for him and Isabella; the night almost ending with the two of them kissing but both end up pulling away at the last second. After berating from friends on both ends, Michel asks Isabella if they can maybe have a do-over, him planning a casual date at the aquarium for the two of them where, alone in an observation room at the centre of one of the tanks, the two share a duet that ends them finally getting that kiss they've both unknowingly wanted for years.

Brief character info!!:

Michel is bisexual and genderfluid, uses he/they and is a siren who uses Lunar magic and is the middle child of the Lunar Coven Head: William Kim. Michel or Mike is a nickname he uses due to it being easier for those around him to pronounce than his birth name; Min-kyung (민경). As his name suggests, Michel is Korean; born in Seoul, South Korea, and makes frequent trips there to visit his maternal family. His parents are divorced, and Michel grew up with his older brother Chris or Chung-Kyu (정규) and his mother Eunbyul (은별), helping out on their restaurant and learning how to cook all kinds of western and Korean dishes until he turned 16 and began working there whenever he isn't at the academy. His familiar is the small manatee adjacent one; a Norvonian animal known as a moonatee named Blizzard. Michel and Blizzard first met at Isabellas's parents' shop, and ever since, Michel has become extremely protective of Blizzard due to moonatees being unable to get angry and also aren't born with any means of defending themselves, they do later in life grow tusks and a horn made of ice but these are purely for mobility and scavenging food. Due to the naturally docile nature of moonatees, young Michel wasn't really all that thrilled about receiving a moonatee and his destined familiar, but Blizzard quickly proved himself to be a perfect fit for Michel, able to calm him down when he's angry or upset and Blizzards cute and goofy antics never fail to make him smile.

Isabella is bisexual and uses she/her and is a siren who uses Geo magic and is the youngest of two. She owns a small familiar shop, originally owned by her parents, but she took ownership at 17, which led to her transferring to the academy. Her family is extremely close to Kai and Flares, the three of them knowing each other since birth and having a natural sibling dynamic. Even after Isabella switched schools, she kept in touch with Kai, and whenever things got rough with Evan, she would always go to him, and once she transferred and realised Flare was not only alive but had escaped the Pyro District, the three of them soon became inseparable, with Flare watching Michel and Isabella and ooing and awing at them all the time. Isabella's familiar is the small manta ray; their species don't have any official names (I can only think of so many puns), but her name is Bubbles, and she's been Isabellas mini me since the day they met, if Isabella has an idea or a plan then Bubbles already on their way before she can finish her sentence, and anytime Michel and Isabella are sat together, Bubbles and Blizzard are cuddling and snuggling up together and going in circles around each other while Michel and Isabella both pretend to not notice amd tell themselves that it doesn't imply anything about how they feel for each other.

Isabella is also my boyfriends oc, so I could be wrong on a few things (❀◦‿◦)

Serious small review of KPDH real quick but the expressions and character acting and small pieces of including real life elements in this show is AMAZING

I wish my writing and art could be like this omg

The way all of the faces are so expressive but don't feel out of place like they're trying to shoehorn in a quirky look to it and how all of them are similar yet different to play into how that characters face would move or how they would express that emotion and all of the small cultural references like of course this is set in Korea, I'm pretty sure Seoul specifically, and there's definitely big things like the area Jinu and Rumi spend so much time; the old village and how like majority if not all of the background characters are Korean but I mean smaller stuff like how there's hints of Korean street fashion or how the Idol Awards performance specifically looks like a performance you'd see in real life down to the choreography and the outfits, the choreography specifically is really putting in the work to make sure that it looks so real, plus little things like the TV show the Saja Boys were on reminded me personally of a lot of the more bizarre TV programmes broadcasted in Korea and Japan, a big one that excited me is how Huntrix clearly speaks English for the duration of the film since this a western production I'm pretty sure or at least made for a western audience but there's little moments where they speak in Korean or reference Korean food like in the plane or you can hear an accent slipping out in certain scenes or with certain words and just RAAAAAAAAAHHHHH I love when I can hear accents slipping out or references to other cultures it just scratches a little itch in my brain

Fair warning, I don't live in Korea, nor am I Korean, I start glowing the second the sun hits me and live in Europe so not really my place to speak on the legitimacy on any references made so I may get a few things wrong but I know from personal experience with authentically british characters like Hobie Brown and Hilda that this kind of stuff can mean a lot to people, expecially those who are misrepresented or aren't represented at all, clearly very different backgrounds in terms of humiliation for your culture, I've never been called a slur for my nationality nor have I experienced any violent hate for it, so hopefully anyone who is Korean came away from that film feeling as well represented as I've spent the last 20 minutes praising this film for, and if so then hopefully we'll see a big rise in this kind of cultural nedia like KPDH and Jentry Chau in the future!!

This got longer than I intended, and my leg has gone numb from sitting in a very uncomfortable spot for so long, but I really enjoyed doing this, this'll probably happen more often since I'm big I to writing and really love analysing shows and films from a writing perspective and my boyfriends at work and also hasn't seen the film so I can't talk his ear off just yet lol

I'd love to hear about anyone else's option of the film or if you have recommendations for other films just as good PLEASE tell me, okay byeeeeeeeeeeeee ♡

My two characters Quinn and Charlie!!!! ♡

They're just friends guys TRUST

They're not the main characters or anything; Quinn is a side character, and Charlie is an antagonist turned side character, butttttttt I'm still gonna make little comics and stuff about them and their stories (ᴖ◡ᴖ)

Quinn is a Harpy that uses Solar magic, and is under the care of his maternal grandfather then later gets adopted by two other characters Rick and Jessica. He's on the Jynx Academy's sports team and is close with one of the main characters Flare!!

Charlie is an Elf who also uses Solar magic and lives with his parents and 8 sisters, 4 older and 4 younger. He's on the same team and is also close to Flare but is also in an attempted arranged relationship with another main character Amber by Amber's dad and Charlie's parents.
