TIL: XCode Scheme and CI Scheme is not build configuration. Scheme is a combination of build configurations for particular condition (Run, Test, Archive). Thus, you'd still need to specify the build configuration in shenzhen command line. ipa build -s Vanilla -c Staging – Read on Path.

Missing Helsinki

Every September I have this eerie feeling of missing this Northernmost capital of the world.

Why september? Because it's autumn in the northern hemisphere. And it's always the time when I came to Europe.

My first time being acquainted with Helsinki was when coming as a part of Indonesia Team helping Blaast. It was my first trip to Europe, and I instantly loved the continent.

Coming from a very hectic country, Helsinki was like a break for me. A vacation from otherwise hectic and hot country.

I took the trip again to Europe on discounted ticket again in 2012. And this was when I can somewhat indulge myself to Europe. I explored most of the West Europe and even went to St Petersburg.

It was autumn and it was very good. Coming alone and explore Europe myself was very exciting and soothing experience.

I'll indeed come there again if I have more time and budget.

Ribut-ribut Masalah Perkalian

Media sosial lagi rame masalah perkalian. Jadi mungkin ada yang ingin tau pendapat saya. *siapa gue*

Pertanyaannya kurang lebih apakah 4×6 sama dengan 6×4. Saya akan mengubah sedikit pertanyaannya:

Apakah 4 × Rp 6000 sama dengan 6 × Rp 4000?

Yang menjawab sama, pasti belom pernah nyicil motor, mobil, atau rumah. Sesuatu yang ada perkalian pasti namanya cicilan, dan cicilan pasti ada bunga.

Asumsi saja ngutangnya ama rentenir atau koperasi simpan pinjam abal-abal bunga cicilannya adalah 10% per bulan. Mari kita hitung.

4 × Rp 6000. 6000 adalah cicilan + bunga. Berarti membayar bunga 40% dari pinjaman. Total pembayaran adalah Rp 24000, berarti pinjamannya kurang lebih adalah Rp 17.142, 86. 

Kasus kedua 6 × Rp 4000. Dengan asumsi yang sama berarti membayar bunga 60% dari pinjaman. Total pembayaran Rp 24000, tapi pinjamannya sebesar. Rp 15.000,00

Dari fakta di atas saja sudah jelas-jelas bahwa 4 × Rp 6000 beda dengan 6 × Rp 4000!

Demikian penjelasan ilmiah saya. Kesimpulan dari penjelasan saya ini adalah:

Kalau nyicil jangan lama-lama

edit: Saya mendapatkan kesimpulan lain juga setelah libil siang ini.

Mungkin si kakak yang mengajari adiknya belum pernah punya cicilan, makannya dia bilang bener. Sementara si guru bilang salah karena mungkin sudah pusing dengan cicilan, ditambah gaji guru yang ga seberapa, eh dibully juga di media sosial. Apa ga kasian? Semoga pak jokowi benar-benar merealisasikan janji kampanyenya.

People sometimes have a wrong idea about programming skill. Just realised there are so much endorsement in my linkedin on Java and Android. I don't have any significant experience on them. No wonder many people called me for my "android expertise" when I was unemployed. My only experience with Android is porting engine with its NDK. It's fully cross platform project with very minimal java/android API involvement. I'm familiar with its NDK (which is POSIX anyway) but not Android APIs. My whole mobile development experience is all native. Objective-C, C++, and C and some Qt. Therefore when I was working for BlackBerry I was the go-to guy for BlackBerry 10, but not BlackBerry 7. – Read on Path.

Kebiasaan baru, tiap kali nemu mihrab kosong di mushalla di tempat umum, sekarang saya selalu inisiatif buat jadi imam. Ternyata impactnya luar biasa, yang ikutan makmum jadi banyak daripada shalat munfarid akibat "malu" jadi imam atau karena datang belakangan. Ya lagian tempat umum ini, mana kita tau mana yang mukim mana yang enggak, mana yang bacaannya bagus mana yang enggak yang penting jama'ah dulu :D – Read on Path.
