Every now and then I venture into the “terf” “radfem” and “gender critical” tags for giggles and am reminded of a few key things.
They somehow fall in the middle of the “Republican vs feminist” venn diagram
Wow there are a lot of them
They get super upset over anti terf memes
Victim COMPLEX
Sources are mostly from conservative feminist authors instead of modern scientists or feminist
THANK GOD they are in the feminist minority
They love arguing on the basis of platonic ideals without fully understanding them
Very loaded arguments
They tend to be islamaphobic
They think there’s some war between radical feminism and liberal feminism as though most (well read) feminists would prefer either
Literally cannot acknowledge the good trans feminists have done for the movement regardless of any gender theory
“Transgenderism” isn’t a word
Literally unable to understand gender theory
Terfs are those people who only know cartoonish trans people from the internet, who are actually just other terfs trying to mock trans women through fake blogs
Site biology without understanding neurophysiology is a thing
And psychology too
Think trans people are somehow privileged and not murdered at an astronomical rate
All studies on mental health are outdated
Genuinely believe kids are encouraged to be trans
Genuinely believe six year olds are being given hormones
Doesn’t understand hormone blockers
I know ya’ll don’t usually reblog my stuff (bc I don’t post too often) but I would appreciate if you reblogged this to show people the glaring flaws in anti trans rhetoric.
Also if terfs see this lmao, what do ya’ll think, genuinely curious of how ya’ll reach your conclusions.

This is super important. "I am a transphobe when I say" Comic by Assigned Male Edit to add: Since this is apparently unclear to a bunch of y'all, saying you won't date someone just because they're trans is absolutely transphobic. Even the reasons that aren't blatantly transphobic ("ew trans people!") usually amount to assumptions about what's in someone's pants, what kind of sex you think they're capable of, what they want in life, or some idea that trans folks are all of a third gender that you need some separate attraction for. These are all transphobic arguments.
