I don't know who needs to hear this but the ideas "Media should be allowed to explore darker concepts, show some seriously fucked up things and explore the darkest reaches of one's imagination and should be able to do so without being executed on the spot for it" and "You shouldn't draw/write problematic ships, glorify fucked up shit and deal with certain topics improperly because media does, in fact, influence those who interact with it whether they like it or not" can and absolutely SHOULD co-exist.
