he stifles a chuckle threatening to escape him. ❝ so? wouldn't change anything. y'know, i bet i can tip this whole room over and the relics with it if i jumped hard enough, ❞ the soft sound of a playful 'tsk' can be heard when she warns him. ❝ uh, i'm dancing on thin air, spec. just like you, but only better. ❞

mauga continues taking his time trailing behind spectre who was more nimble with her size and a lot faster with their featherlight steps. while she creates a path ahead, he's busy being mindful of how heavy his additional equipment is on his person and shrinks into the camera's blind spots before emerging again — this time looming on her right side, and growing more bored by the minute. ❝ oh man, all this sneaking around is making me hungry. how long till we actually get some action in this dump? i could really go for a knuckle sandwich. ❞

"These are artifacts from ancient civilization." Spectre commented idly, voice distorted through her mask. She picked the dark museum carefully, dodging cameras and motion sensors as they set out. Ancient art, balancing precariously on pedestals. Mauga was smart, capable, but his size made her nervous. "Please be careful."

so, i've been reading a lot of ow comics lately and i didn't expect to see m.auga celebrating christmas with his dad. it's so heartwarming to see him have a close bond with his old man. they have the same beard!! that's so cute ♡♡♡

so...y'all ever think m.auga's bloodthirsty rampages from the old days were fueled by his hatred for the invaders and disrespectful tourists that would steal their islands resources and kill their wildlife for food or sport? his sadism would come into play if he succeeded in murdering them, taking the treasures they owned and — his most favourite part of the job — sinking their ships and watching it burst into flames. and since he was a serious man at the time, he would have that wild look in his eyes and a self-satisfied grin during the killing spree, but only for a good moment or two. it was a rare sight to see, after all. i bet his rampages can only be stopped by his family members from the deepsea raiders (and friends too) if he spiraled out of control, especially if it's intervened by his father since he's the leader of the deepsea raiders and the most prominent figure in m.auga's life.

When a character is assured enough in their own power that they are completely relaxed in dangerous situations??? When that same character becomes tense and uncomfortable in the mundane because they don't have a framework for peace?????? When they help navigate violence for another character and in return that character helps them navigate softness??????????? That's all, your honour

i found m.auga's surfboard omfg!! it's resting on his mailbox outside of his hut. it didn't look that big in first person but in third?? uM...another story entirely

it's canon m.auga bought his shark slippers at the island gift store. the palusami (i think?) was just outside his hut so he seems to regularly eat those during downtime. his home is pretty small but it tells me he loves to go out a lot which isn't surprising in the slightest. it's still interesting details though!!

i'm currently learning sm about samoan culture and i gotta say it's very interesting and fun to learn their ways of life. it really helps me see the world through m.auga's eyes. and since he's underdeveloped as a character in the ow lore, i'm looking to flesh him out so he doesn't end up being a one dimensional character in my portrayal.
