This other white thing I met at work, I was admiring some springtails on break when it ran out from under a leaf so I yoinked them up. Same place as miss. Cream came from, interestingly. This one and baby are going in with miss Cream's het babies who live with my scaber whiteouts. Don't ask me why but they've been doing better with interspecies company.

Baby has grown (upper right) and still looking like Oniscus asellus, I have a vague theory that half and half 🌗 white/wild type woodlice could be some kind of chimera, since someone else had a half and half with a white head end and he wasn't able to produce white offspring, but (possibly) this might be a baby of my half and half who has a white tail end. With my chimera theory, the colour of the tail end, and therefore gametes, has genes for only that colour- not the colour of the head end.
That being said, it could also be chance mutation that baby hasn't produced pigment, unrelated to parentage.

I thought I found another intruding P. scaber whiteout, but actually on closer inspection this little one seems to be an albino- from my extra yellow O. asellus which is what I'm hesitantly thinking this one is. Cute !

I captured this creature because he seemed to be injured and I thought he'd maybe be easy dinner for my centipede, however he seems fine and my centipede is scared of him.

I started keeping a centipede, I was looking I initially for a banded centipede to bring home after I saw a cool one the other morning before my bird friend at work swooped in and ate it- but I met a pretty orange centipede instead that I think could be "Cryptops parisi" based on the pics on BMIG. I'll try to count legs sometime.

Trying out a new type of set up, layered up like a compost heap. In here is Cylisticus convexus - I see them all through the layers and the hay is disappearing !

Androniscus dentiger update; in the summer they started dying one by one, lately I hunted through the container and found only two small ones and that's it. Idk if maybe it's been too warm in here or some other issue. The remaining two I popped in the big tank with my O. asellus wild types.
