Late posting: For Halloween I was the Starbucks green slime cup that was impossible to find/buy because scalpers are scum on earth that deserve all the pain possible.

Some progress pictures of the hand sewing and slapdash beading of pearls and sequins. The drip effect was done with acrylic paint. Originally meant to include a straw but this worked for the time being.

I see most reviews online about Simplicity Pattern 8568 talking about the shark onesie-- totally warranted as it is ADORABLE-- but I wanted to make the changing mat as a baby shower present and feel like sharing the (mostly) finished project for others frustrated by not seeing other customer pictures online!

I say mostly finished because I have not decided if I want to leave it as is or add some of the bias tape to the outside to use as a tie for the closed version. I might have messed up a little on the inner pocket but it wasn't anything big enough I could not fix with a little more hand sewing. I hand sewed a lot more than expected, actually, because I went in and tacked down the bias tape on the inner side so everything will be nice and flat for the future child being changed.

As for this particular instance, I made it with a joke-y Camp theme in mind as the parents to be are Horror fans. :)

(I'm a little tempted to make one for myself, I don't have kids, but to use for MTG decks and the such lol)

I don't often call myself a dummy, but today I realized that I only use organza when I make Selkie dupes because that's what their website says they use when all this time I could have been using chiffon. CHIFFON. It would feel SO much nicer! and be flowier! And you usually need to stuff a petticoat under a Selkie anyway for the amount of fluff that make them look so dreamy. Only downside is that chiffon is almost as fickle for me to work with.

Made myself a cute little book bag because we went to Joann’s and this quarter was too cute to not buy.

Ok, the spooky girls convinced me to start looking towards Halloween. Detachable collars to scrap-bust was also just fun and easy 💜🖤🤍

Made myself a summer bra/top but the fabric itself isn’t safe to post for Insta so I want to share here, with the silliest of the sillies. It’s fully athletic-standard fabric, 4-way stretch and sweat-wicking for the DD under boob sweat relief 😮‍💨

I'm not in love with that bottom half's V shape, but a little modification and I think I'd like to try making this some time in the future. Or something inspired by it because I really do adore this vibe.
