My new single "Fade Away" came out last Friday! It was a fun one to write and started off as a Pixies-inspired, post-punk song. But I was playing around with a midi keyboard during the production process, and ended up with a slightly synth-pop sound injected into it.

I’m back with new music! Next Friday (16 May) I’m releasing my new single “Fade Away” on Spotify and Apple Music.

It’s a bit of a departure from my previous releases - a mix of post-punk with a bit of synth-pop.

I’m really excited to get this one out, and there’s more to come this summer!

It’s weird to think that these songs are a couple of years old, yet they’re only just coming out. The EP overall is a mixture of punk, indie and pop.

On Friday 1st December I'll be releasing my new EP 'Dark Patterns'.

This EP includes my recent single 'Neutral Thoughts', plus a few more I've been working on. One of them I wrote as far back as January 2022, so it'll be almost two years from its inception to release. Just shows how slow I can sometimes be at releasing stuff.

The final track, 'Jude, After Sickness' was written by myself and my girlfriend one Friday night in the kitchen after some beers and half a bottle of red wine. It was inspired by the book "A Little Life" by Hanya Yanagihara.

So it'll be out 1st December - I hope you give it a listen!

'Neutral Thoughts' - new single out 1st September

New music incoming! I’m releasing my new single ‘Neutral Thoughts’ on Friday 1st September!

The song is taken from my upcoming EP, ‘Dark Patterns’, which will be out in the Autumn. This EP has been a culmination of many hours of writing, demoing, recording, re-recording and producing - both with a talented producer and by myself. It’s still an acoustic sound but I’m also delving into the world of electronic drums.

I hope you give ‘Neutral Thoughts’ a spin when it’s up on Spotify and Apple Music in a few weeks!

A day in Utrecht, Netherlands 🇳🇱

Had a day in the studio with producer Tony Salter. We recorded a new song - well, we managed to get vocals and guitars down, plus we used a Korg Volca drum machine for the drums. All that’s left is to record bass and then mix it.

On Wednesday I went down to my local in Bristol and played a couple of new(ish) songs.

After opening with Neutral Milk Hotel’s ‘In The Aeroplane Over The Sea’, I moved on to my own song ‘Henry Chinaski’ from my 2020 album, and a new, unreleased track called ‘Semantics’.

It was a great night and hopefully it provided me with a kick up the arse to play more gigs again. I think the pandemic slowed things down for everyone and I’d just gotten into a rut.
