Oh no dear anon: There are like a thousand different reasons why I LOVE Lois (which is again, a serious understatement.)
And it’s terrible how tongue tied I get when it concerns her-she steals all the words in my world!
But I’m giving a humble try from my part:
1. I love all the stuff for which she’s constantly trolled, and hated for- being cynical and snarky, her jumping headfirst into trouble (as her instinct to help just simply surpasses any single consequence) and her being a “fragile human woman” with vulnerabilities and emotions.
2. I love that under the headstrong and sarcastic army brat-she is an extremely caring and compassionate person who fights with a pen and a notepad against the injustice in the world. I love how she grew from a waitress at the talon, to the Secretary for the Kents, to working at the inquisitor and finally- to being an accomplished and infamous journalist at the Planet. It attests how determined and sincere she is in general, and especially towards her responsibilities.
3. I love her witty retorts, her loud, bossy and outspoken nature, her exquisite sense of humor, her sassiness, the way she carries herself-head held high confidently, the way she daringly objectifies and stands up for everything she believes in, her admirable sense of fashion, her crazy love of hair metal, her inability to spell, the way she can’t ever cook a proper meal, and every one of her strengths and flaws. SHE WAS THE LIGHT AND SOUL OF THE SHOW for me.
4. I loved that- above everything else, she had a strong concept of morality throughout. It’s totally admirable how she she passionately protected Clark’s secret without even him realizing she had found out. She was a wonderful listener. (We could see Clark, Lana, Chloe, Oliver-nearly everyone in that show hooked up by her will to listen, comfort and even advice). I love that the show explored the humane, tactful and gentler side of Lois Lane- it’s something which is an absolute rarity, and I am grateful for that.
5. I love that she has always been selfless enough to put everyone else’s needs above her own. Despite craving for a normal childhood- filled with happy memories- she has sacrificed a lot- she grew up too fast -trying to be a “mother- figure” to Lucy and putting in her damndest effort to live upto the expectations of the strictest general in the US army. Despite being haunted by the constant fear of being alone, she was willing enough to let Clark Kent(the best thing which happened in her life) go. I quote one of my favorite fanfiction Authors, Ameliafaulks here- “I don’t know how you can measure [anything] against the daily commitment you make by lending your husband to the entire world”. Because that’s exactly what she does- every single day, and she accepts it quite willingly too. And that’s not a small sacrifice.(especially when said husband is battling against monsters, and unimaginable wars across galaxies)
In short- This is why I love her : (It’s a fanvid I made- it’s actually just my second one, and my second re-watch of Smallville prompted this one so- hard. )

I’ve know I’ve already uploaded this once before. But I guess I could express how perfect she is with my imperfect work of hands, right? (Because trust me, it’s way too amateur. I’m not a pro at this!)
Anyways, y’all better start saving your fave fanfics and fanart under the Disney labels cause it looks like they’re trying to curb fair use/fanworks and I’m sure there’s going to be mass panicked deletions even though it’s probably unnecessary cause AO3′s legal team will fight for us.
