"You cannot be serious," Kenzie said, astonished. "They didn't really say that to you, really? What did you say back? I've have some pretty awkward interactions with Kestrals fans, but not that."

"Well what kind of Cinderella would I be if you wouldn't have found me in the end and swept me off my feet?" Mackenzie said with a short laugh. "Except this feels like a weird combination of Cinderella and like Halloweentown or something. Speaking of, we should get all those old movies from my Dads. I would love to show some of them to the kids."

"Me too," James admitted, "I'm pretty sure my life would not have turned out as amazing as it is without you so thanks for not running off forever."

Kenzie let out a small laugh. "God, are you sure? I don't think you want to dance like a mad man."

“Hey!” Erin greeted with a smile. “You know, I saw some of those dance moves you were busting out earlier, you’ll have to teach me a couple.”

"I'm glad it worked out. I was so scared I was going to lose you forever after that kiss," she said. "I don't know what I would've done without you in my life."

James laughed, "Yeah, my own personal Cinderella," he joked, keeping her close, "It was also the night I realised I had romantic feelings for you and if I hadn't realised that, we wouldn't be married with a wonderful family. At least not on the same timeline."

"A few hitches? You mean me literally running halfway through the castle in a ball gown like I'm trying to make my midnight carriage? Those hitches?" she said with a laugh.

"You know, I love the fact that we're married but I prefer celebrating this anniversary," James admitted, "I know our first midnight kiss had a few hitches but without it, we wouldn't be where we are today," he explained, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pulling her close to plant a kiss on her temple.

“We both know I’ll win though,” Kenzie teased back to his retort. “Oh, I would call that some quiet chaos.”

"Hey, don't start talking smack about my team. You don't wanna go there, I'll start talking smack about yours," James retorted, "It's so quiet here, maybe we could do with some chaos," he replied, smirking.

"Tell that to your seeker that I run circles around half the time," Kenz teased back. "I think we definitely nailed it, however, you might need to ask me that again in two hours when Alex and the twins are screaming and not listening at all, and just creating chaos."

"We don't need to cheat to beat you anyway," James joked. He nodded, sitting down across from her and smiling, "Sounds like a plan. Good thing we've already baby-proofed the place," he added, leaning in to kiss her back and then again as she pulled away, "we can do plenty of this anyway but i suppose it means we can hae more couple time. i do think we've been managing that pretty well so far. have we nailed parenting?" he asked with a cheeky smile.

Mackenzie let out a small laugh, "I would never," she said to him. "And if I ever do, please know it's a clone of me and the kids are in danger." Kenz fixed her bag on her shoulder. "Yeah, I'm ready, do you need to do anything before we get there? It might start to get busy if we don't leave now."

Theo laughed, "Oh no, I love my siblings but please don't bring them in this room. There is way too much in here that is not child-proofed," he explained, "Anyway, are you ready for lunch? I'm pretty much done here," he said, gesturing to the stuff he was working on.

"Oh, I don't know about that one," Kenzie replied with a smirk. "I heard they've got a damn good seeker."

"Yeah, they are going well. Full on all the time but I wouldn't have it any other way. I want to feel the effort when I leave a practice, it's how I know I've put everything into it." Reid spoke brightly, always brightened after a session. "Oh we're definitely going to give them a hell of a time." He responded back with a playful wink.

"Oh you know I would never think you'd cheat," she joked. "The twins are probably due for just one nap a day now too. Maybe we'll try that, maybe let Alex stay awake a little longer around nap time if he's not sleepy." Kenzie looked at the baby monitor for Alex's room. "Right now, we can let him just play around, I've been reading that as long as they're not crying or being little escape artists, it's safe to let them just play, and develop those techniques to be able to do things independent. He looks pretty entertained right now with his bears. Which means I can do a little more of this," Kenzie pull her husband in again to give him another kiss.

James did stop when Kenzie asked, chuckling at her accusation, "That's a bit rude," he teased back. He held up a mug, "Little bit of column A, little bit of column B," he said, leaning in to kiss her before sliding the mug in her direction, "Alex is up. I think we may need to start reducing his nap time or changing the schedule. He's not sleeping as much as the twins anymore."

"I mean, can't be worse than James half the time," Kenzie replied with a laugh. "How are practices going anyway? Think you got a chance against the Kestrals?" she teased.

Reid found himself laughing as the child made a beeline for him and he couldn't resist picking the little girl up and swinging her around playfully. "I'll try not to undo the hard work you are putting into this but I could never dislike a hug from this little lady." In fact he loved any kind of physical contact but he understood the need to put that boundary in place for others. "And if it were up to me, I would smother her in kisses but I feel a little bad for her considering I still need to wash up."

"Oh Sweetie, you have to ask first," Kenzie said when she saw Thea hug Reid, after she brought the kids to the end of James' practice to see the team. "We're trying to work on boundaries with them," she explained. "I hope you like hugs from toddlers."

Kenzie was working on studying the new plays for the seasons for the Kestrals. When she heard James, she flipped them over. "Pause, these are Kestral plays," she said to her husband. "Can't have you cheating." That part was a complete joke, Kenzie knew he'd never cheat, especially with her. Kenzie put them away and turned toward him. "Resume. I assume you're going to either give me a kiss and a coffee or tell me the babies are awake?" she said, also half teasing.

"You do keep telling me," James replied with a smile as he kissed her forehead, "Ummm... semi-fancy. I'm not going to wear a tuxedo but there will be a tie involved," he replied, hoping that helped. As he said it, he was already out of the room, calling back to her, as he started making her coffee.

Kenzie moved her hand away. "No, you did not mention that. Next time I'll be sure to remind you to mention something like that in case I bring the kids."

"I wouldn't touch that if I were you," Theo said, pointing to the plant next to the person who was in his office, "Not unless you want to break out in terrible hives. I'm working on the section of my research on poisonous plants. Did I not mention that?"

"You are the best husband ever, you know that?" Kenzie asked when he said he'd bring the coffee to her, moving to look through her closet for something fancy. "Also, how fancy are we talkin'?"

"Take as much time as you need. I'll bring the coffee to you," James smiled in return, "I'll be right back."
