just wanted to say I think you’re very talented!!!! I love the sharks appreciation series and your style of editing photos is super unique, what’s ur creative process when it comes to edits?

awww thanks anon <3 i've actually been meaning to record a sort of speedpaint (design?) for a future poster just because i think it would interest people (and myself tbh) but overall my approach is really quite sporadic. for the sharks series i have a format and color palette that i stick to in order to have them somewhat cohesive, but otherwise i think it follow the general manner in which most graphic designers do work: by fucking around. i don't like repetitiveness (a hard quality to strive for when you have 3 colors) so normally i go into a project with something in mind that i haven't done before & a photo or two that i like the look of. everything else i play by ear, (eye?) i keep a long list of techniques next to my projects in case i feel lost at any point, but i do find it is quite fun to just click buttons (and photoshop has sooo many buttons) and seeing how things turn out. blending mode, filter gallery, and gradient map are some of my favorites.
