Okay. So. As someone with Kyborg as my favorite player-character I think an abnormal amount about the Kydron timeline and as someone with Brink as my favorite NPC-character i think an abnormal amout about his deal with and later possession by Entropa.
With that said, do you think they both act as, like, the right-hand men to Entropa and Quadron in the Kydron timeline? Do you think they sit in on meetings between the Tetragogues and glare at eachother? Do you think they're sometimes sent out on missions together where they constantly bicker and fight about how they're gonna go about it? Do you think they try to sabotage eachother from time to time? Like they have some sort of dumb office rivalry except they're evil? Everyone else is so very sick of them.
Or if you're a brinkborg shipper. Do you think they watch the other like commit murder or smth and just think "that's so hot" before mentally slapping themselves. Do you think they're like weird, loser, evil boyfriends?
Or. Or if you're more of a "Kydron is an emotionless husk of what Kyborg once was" kinda person. Do you think Brink starts antagonising Kydron way more, not because he hates him more but because he's desperatly trying to get some sort of reaction from him? Because no matter how annoying he found him before, seeing the body of the loudmouthed energetic Kyborg act so dully and lifelessly feels so incredibly wrong? Do you think he once did something embarassing in front of Kydron, thinking that whatever Quadron had done to his brain there was no universe in which any version of Kyborg didn't jump at an oppertunity to make fun of him, just for Kydron to keep staring blankly at him? Do you think that he refuses to accept that the Kyborg he loved/hated/begrudgedly tolerated is dead forever and has been dead since the explosion in the library? Because rivalry or not, Kyborg was undoubtably the Infiknight Intern that Brink was the closest to.
Speaking of the explosion in the library. Do you think that Brink (before being possessed by Entropa and before Kyborg reemerged as Kydron) blamed himself for Kyborg's death? Do you think he wonders if it could have turned out differently had he not been paranoid and sent the interns to investigate? Do you think Gum Gum and Bart wondered if they could have changed anywhere had they gone with Kyborg and Mudd? Do you you think Mudd lies awake at night going through all the things he might have been able to do to save Kyborg but couldn't because he was caught off guard?

Okay, so, I was thinking about how Wylan's relationship with Nina isn't really explored in the books and the fandom still decided that in like every modern au they're best friends (love that for us) and when I tried to remember a time that Nina reflected on Wesper being a thing romantically I came up empty (I might just have memory issues. In that case, please just dismiss this entire post), and then I couldn't remember any time Inej mentions it either (again, might just have dementia) and Kaz only really hints at it in passing with the whole "using Wylan to get back at Jesper" thing but that's still not stating it directly (though the fact that he mentions using Wylan specifically to punish him even though Nina was also supposed to be on the ship pretty much proves he knows there's something more there). The only time I can actually think of that any of the other crows state that there is anything between Jesper and Wylan is Matthias comparing their relationship to his and Nina's.
This gives us three possible scenarios. Either
a) Leigh had to cut some of the relationship stuff out so the book didn't get too long (pretty likely and understandable)
b) Inej and Nina just don't care (unlikely considering they both talk about eachother's relationships) or
c) (the one I'm choosing to believe) Due to Nina loosing the ability to pick up on others heartrates before Jesper and Wylan properly fall for eachother and Inej being gone between the end of SoC and like a third into Crooked Kingdom neither of them actually know and Matthias and Kaz just never bring it up (Kaz because he doesn't give a damn and Matthias because he figures that everyone already knows considering the obvious heart eyes they keep making at eachother). Inej doesn't find out until she walks in on them celebrating Wylan's ribs healing (read: making out) and Nina either doesn't find out until Inej writes about it in a letter or until way later when Wylan and Jesper are in Fjerda on merchant council buissness and Illya (I'm pretty sure that's what Hanne started going by, please correct me if I'm wrong) pointed it out.

I managed to get my entire family into TMA and we usually listen to it in the car. (I never realized that i don't really have any phobias until I saw my mom freak out over Lost John's Cave and my sister react similarly because of Arachnophobia.) After each episode my mother laments Jon's refusal to believe that the statements are true and my dad tries to figure out what the hell is going on. It's a great time

The Kuwei Yul-Bo hate
One thing this fandom seems pretty split on is if Kuwei is the litteral spawn of satan for the stunt he pulled with Jesper or if he's just a funny little guy and the people who hate him are just overreacting. I have seen people take this discussion suprisingly seriously considering both sides are equally right.
If we think about the whole situation from Jesper's perspective his entire relationship with the man he loves might have just been ruined and from Wylan's he might just have wasted the last few months of his life being in love with someone who would never see him the same way. This on it's own is fairly shitty of Kuwei to do but it's worse considering they all might die in a not very long time and they might not have reconsiled before then. Or one of them could die and have the other live with either guilt or a misunderstanding. All of this because of a 15 year old with an underdeveloped sense of sympathy for others. On the other hand this is all fictional and the 15 year old with an underdeveloped sense of sympathy has an underdeveloped sense of sympathy because he is 15 and deeply traumatised (also he's pretty funny) so people liking him is just as normal.
