It's laughable when I see people saying stuff like "writing dark fiction isn't a healthy coping mechanism!" or "your therapist should have their license revoked if they support you engaging in kinks such as ageplay or CNC!"

I'm going to trust the three licensed therapists I've been to with these issues over a 14 year old named Hayden on Tumblr with the world's most eyestrainish Carrd or Rentry. I don't care if your friend who took one high school psychology class said that coping through dark fiction isn't healthy. Still not one of the many licensed therapists who say that it is.

Today’s character of the day is…..Billy Kid!

Sporting a sleek, stylish outfit is Billy Kid; a gun-slinging cyborg with big Punk energy. Appearances aside, Billy is actually a pretty goofy character….his wiki is so cute lol.

We don’t know much about Billy yet, since ZZZ has yet to release…but the details we Do know paint a very appealing character (for me at least!).

Only time will tell, but in the meanwhile….is anyone getting massive slut vibes?

Found under a discussion of the ages of various characters using Genshin Impact’s loli model, specifically regarding one character implied to be an adult who’s either very short or has dwarfism (Dori, for those familiar with the game). Needless to say the comments underneath this were a shitshow.

I think we need to get more comfortable with the idea that sometimes shitty, racist, homophobic, bigoted people are still incredibly talented.

I feel like every time I see a post addressing someone’s shitty behavior the post also takes the time to mention that they’re not even good at [x] anyway. And that’s just not always true? Equating being good at a skill as being morally good is just not necessary. Someone can be a fantastic writer, can have a beautiful singing voice, can create breathtaking artwork, and still be a horrible person.

I know part of this is probably just the instinct to dislike everything about a person when you dislike them, but I also think this mindset leads to people defending creatives way past where they should, because if bad people create bad art, then if this person creates art that I like and resonates with me, then they can’t be a bad person!

And you know. That’s just not true. Those two things are simply completely unconnected and I think it’d be healthier if we all started disconnecting them in our heads.

Hot fandom discourse take but framing dark content as only being acceptable if its a vehicle for exploring personal trauma is just giving ground to the puritan segments of fandom.

Simply liking dark content for its own sake is perfectly fine.

Pro tip if you see at least 50 people say "wait that's not normal??" In the comments of some neurodivergent relatability post then it probably is, in fact, normal. Daydreaming to songs is normal, I promise you. Most everything about being neurodivergent is normal, it's just the degree to which it affects you and your life that makes it abnormal.
