Hey! Uh, I finished my book!

Catnip is the first installment of a wholly independent queer-fantasy series blending comics and prose, written and illustrated entirely by me! This first book is approximately 50 pages and introduces my characters Ten, Theo, and a few others.

‼️This story is for ages sixteen and up, deals with themes of sexuality and addiction, and later installments will deal with darker topics not intended for younger audiences.

‼️These books are entirely home made, hand-bound and glued by me, printed on an at-home printer. Blemishes, flaws, and differences between copies WILL be present.

Due to this handmade factor, I cannot bind more than a handful of pages at once, thus this is not a complete story, and I am treating it more like how someone may write a weekly manga, with only a set number of pages to work with per chapter.

3 cover colors are available, purely bc I dedicated myself to only using construction paper i already had & kept running out. There's only about 5 of each.

Took a break from writing today to design a front cover!

I don't really have a name for the series of stories I wanna write, but eventually there will be four main groups of characters, & for now the idea of separating their stories based on where in this world they take place, as the locations have a fair amount of plot significance, makes the most sense. Hence, the first story installment in Tulsiana Hills, with Ten, Spencer and Theo, named after the residential area of Tulsiana where Ten lives.

Catnip is just the name of this individual installment, chapter, whatever you wanna call it. It's not a complete narrative, but rather the start of a much bigger story I have in mind.

My followers know I hate talking about politics and current events, and generally refuse to do so, but this is important.

A bill has been introduced in the US that would make all pornography a federal crime. Owning it. Creating it. Distributing it.

Under this law, fanart of nude characters would be a federal crime.

Under this law, depictions of homosexuality or simply being transgender, would be considered pornography and a federal crime.

This bill is not going to pass.

However, the reason for this bill is to continue to push the "overton window". The reason for this bill is to make banning pornography seem more and more normal to everyone until they can actually do that.

And remember, they consider depictions of gay characters and transgenders characters "pornography" in any context, including platonic.

They have been working on this for a decade now and it has been working.

If you are one of the people in fandom who thinks that "nasty" porn on AO3 should be banned because it's "icky" or "immoral", then this mental scam is working on you.

Censorship is never about protecting people.

Censorship is always about control.

Do not let the rising moral panic affect your mind and make you weak to propaganda that lets others control you and control what you watch and read.

Do not fall for the scam.

When they say they are going to ban "pornography" it means they're going to ban anything they don't like by calling it "pornography" and they don't like you!!
