Remember that old post about how Deltarune Chapter 2 is just Sharkboy and Lavagirl? Chapter 3 is just The Amazing Digital Circus. Let it fester in your mind as your eyes widen in horror with each passing mental connection.
#the whole “only thing I'm good at” meltdown is something Tenna would do tbh#deltarune#deltarune chapter 3#the amazing digital circus#tadc

Been having this concept of Kogasa being a superiors who's inexplicably way stronger than many characters who reasonably would be more powerful than her, the player character asking how the hell she's so strong, to which she says something to the effect of "I see that my strength has taken you by surprise!"

So, you know the whole "what if Ramb was the chapter 3 shadow crystal holder" thing? You also know how most takes on the idea are a SUPER Werewire?
Well, I believe that the Plugboys and Werewires were inspired by OFF's Elsen. Their simplistic, pale faces and enemy versions who's designs extend offscreen in tandem give me the idea, alongside how chapter 2's tunnel of love segment is a send-up to OFF's pedalos.
OFF has a Burnt boss in the form of the Pastel-Burnt.
Sit on that association for a moment.

About the OFF Prologue
Thank you very much to everyone who played the Off demo! We're delighted that the response was so numerous and enthusiastic. Your comments and feedback will be invaluable to the team for the final phase of development.
Regarding the feedback that focuses on differences from the original version, which often necessarily involves the new soundtrack, but also a few other small changes : I can easily understand the difficulty some of you have in appreciating elements that replace those you've known and are attached to. But I want to remind you first and foremost that this version doesn’t intend to replace the previous one, which remains and will always remain available for free to everyone. At no point there's any intention of "removing" - one way or the other - the Alias Conrad Coldwood soundtrack, which is a very important part of the atmosphere of the original experience. Constraints forced us to choose to offer you this new soundtrack, which should be seen as another musical dressing for the world of Off, and not as a "final edition," canceling the previous one.
Moreover, the creative process for this new soundtrack was not solely driven by an attempt to recreate the exact same atmospheres as the original. I personally asked the artists to maintain a certain degree of freedom, and thus avoid falling into the somewhat impossible exercise of identically recreating existing atmospheres. As an artist myself, I thought it was more interesting to give the musicians a certain amount of room for expression and interpretation, not only so that the pieces they compose are interesting in themselves, and not just as reproductions, but also because I believe this is one of the aspects that makes the experience of this new version surprising and interesting.
I also know that for several of the excellent artists tasked with creating new music for this version, it was a source of rather intense pressure! Everyone on the team loves the original game, and knows how important its soundtrack is.
All that being said, the Dedan battle theme, which seems to have been a specifically controversial point, will most likely receive some changes between now and the final release.
Finally, I've read a few times about Toby Fox's supposedly dominant role on the team. Please believe that, as involved as he is in the game's development process, not only does he have no final decision-making power (which is more in line with my position), but he also works with us with enormous respect (and fear) for the source material. Of the entire team, I think he's the one who felt the most pressure from the fans, and still does. I ask you, please, to be assured of his sincere involvement and humble devotion to the project and to the batter's messianic quest.
The idea of replacing the dopefish with the dog from Undertale was mine, as the green fish is copyrighted; we were afraid Apogee would annoy us.
Well, that's all for now. I hope you're all well, thank you again for your support and your thousands of encouraging comments. I hope you'll like the final version!!
Have a great day everyone, go play Deltarune; my boss forced me to tell you.
Bye

Mike and The Boss are the same person trust me
(Mild spoilers beneath the line)
All brainrotted comments aside, the Pippins' expressions in that scene slay me every time, that scene is rife with edit potential

Two songs starring Hatsune Miku as a children' entertainer, with themes of the dangers of escapism, in less than a year? Both of which being dramatically misinterpreted by their fans? How peculiar...

Random 100% Orange Juice Headcanons
Let's play a fun game: Spot The Comfort Character! Additionally, this may contradict stuff from other orange_juice games, to which my retort is that the 100%OJ cast is just approximations of the characters made by Tomomo anyways (and also let me have my fun).
QP doesn't know what she's doing. Just in general. Whenever it becomes clear that she has to take a situation seriously, though, she can and will get things done. She's also tasted live sea Urchin before, which was only slightly worse than pudding with soy sauce. Her default reaction to genuine fear is hugging the leg of the nearest trusted individual, closing her tearful eyes and muttering.
Kai likes to think that being an isekai protagonist makes him the only sane man of the group. He's not entirely wrong, however he still has noticeable eccentricities, mostly from his moderate ego problems. He's not sure how long he's been here and how much he's missed in his personal life because of it and it's starting to freak him out a bit.
Marc is a massive nerd about military technology and is also the most violent of the main four. Don't let that smile fool you. She is more than willing to use that giant missile she brought with her.
Suguri has ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) and a neocities page. The amount of modifications she's undergone have lead to her not displaying much outward emotion, but internally she's just as emotional as ever. Generally just a sucker for early-mid 2000s internet aesthetics.
Aru loves Halloween nearly as much as Christmas. She's also done multiple AMA threads considering her distinction of being Santa's right hand.
Marie Poppo is a living plushie and has a red heart-shaped one of those plastic dog toy squeakers for a heart. Her moral compass is that everything entertaining is good. Her favorite food is peanut butter candies. She used to be able to speak English fluently, but Tomomo later decided that it'd be funnier if she was unintelligible.
Syura has a tendency to unconsciously unleash her immense infernal powers in bouts of gamer rage. She's also a very passionate Touhou Project fan. This is a dangerous combination.
One of Saki's modifications is a shower head that can emerge from her back near the tip of her spine. This legit solely came to be because it'd be a funny visual gag for a confrontation with NoName.
NoName's mouth never opens, his teeth just light up when he talks.
Mother Poppo has no true relation to Marie Poppo, despite her mannerisms.
Cook listens to math rock.
Kae's average body temperature is around 75°C. The other characters treating her presence as a makeshift fireplace has lead her to be a bit less chaotic and more accepting of the simple pleasures of just hanging out with people you trust. She'll still try and find an excuse to have a battle in virtually every get-together, but at least she's asking first. Has severe abandonment issues and athazagoraphobia after being put in isolation for years, which is part of the driving force of her rambunctious behavior.
Sora has burned through too many therapists to count. She's quite a mood swinger, in contrast to the more stoic Suguri. She's quite possibly the most traumatized character in the roster.
