WHAT IS WRITING SKILLS ?

Writing skills is the skills you use to write effectively and succinctly. A good writer is someone who can communicate their point to their audience without using too much fluff and in a way that the other person can understand. Writing skills don't just include the physical act of writing. 

Writing skills include all the knowledge and abilities related to expressing ideas through the written word. The ability to clearly communicate ideas through writing is in high demand for employers in any industry.

WHAT CAN WE DO WITH WRITING SKILLS ?

Writing skills allow you to communicate clearly with others and create useful resources for the workplace. Even professions that don't focus on writing require written communication skills, from the initial application to daily tasks and record-keeping. 

HOW TO IMPROVE WRITING SKILLS ?

1) VOCABULARY

You need to know a lot of English vocabulary to be able to express the ideas that are in your head clearly through writing. Mastery of vocabulary does not mean just memorizing, but really knowing how to use the vocabulary correctly and in accordance with the context of the sentence.

2) USE THE GRAMMAR CHECKER APPLICATION

To prevent spelling mistakes or other mistakes when writing, you can take advantage of the grammar checker application, which is now widely available for free. You can use applications, such as Grammarly, Hemingway, NounPlus, and many more to help you while practicing writing in English.

3) LEARN GRAMMAR

Unlike when we speak, our English speech can no longer be heard. Unlike when you write, you can read your writing over and over again. So, you must understand English grammar. For starters, you can first learn the Simple Present Tense, Simple Past Tense, and Simple Future Tense formulas as a basis for writing.

4) PRACTICE

Practicing writing skills in English must be done consistently. You should try to write in English every day to get used to it. Doing the same thing over and over again will really help grow your writing skills. Writing regularly will also help shape your own writing style.

5) READING

Good writers are good readers too. Regularly reading English texts can improve your writing skills. Reading also learns you with various types of English texts. From English texts you can learn sentence structure, word choice, and how to convey ideas through writing. In addition, reading can also improve your vocabulary mastery.
