I'm so attached to all of my clegan stories and I love each and every one of them but I think I'm done with that, if that makes sense? I feel like I knew when writing the last one that it would be my last one, but I still love them all so much anyway, I put my heart and soul into them <3

and as for paddy/eoin, stay tuned!! I'm 8k into writing a new fic for them which I'm thinking might be between 10-15k words once I'm done with it, but who knows really! they're my muse and my inspiration right now and I just have so much to say about them!! (I also have a paddy/augustin fic in the works that I will finish eventually lmao)

Eoin gently bites his lower lip, before sliding his hand up to rest it on his thigh, his fingers just about brushing against the inseam of his shorts, “I'm offering, Paddy.”

He swallows thickly, his gaze drawn to where Eoin's hand is resting on his thigh.

He must have misheard him, or misunderstood what he'd meant, because there's no way that Eoin is offering him what he thinks he is. He and Eoin have known each other for years by now, and despite his own feelings; it had never been like that between them. He had never had any sort of indication that Eoin would even be open to that sort of thing – with any man, much less him.

He clears his throat, attempting to find his voice, “Offering what, exactly?” He asks.

“You know what.” Eoin murmurs.

Eoin eventually sighs, his fingers lightly trailing along the length of his spine where his arm is around him, “I'm scared, Paddy.” He whispers, “I thought I'd made my peace with it, but.. I don't want to die. I don't want you to die.”

He swallows thickly, trying his best not to acknowledge what he's sure is the feeling of his heart breaking, “I know.” He says softly. There's no point in trying to reassure Eoin that everything will be fine, and that the jump will go as planned. There’s a real possibility that they will die tonight, and he knows that they both know that.

Still, as of right now, they don't have to think about that.

Right now, they're together. They're holding each other. That's the only thing that matters to him, and it's something that he'll hold onto for the rest of his life, no matter what happens after tonight. Still, he can't help but hold out hope that maybe everything will be okay.

So, he closes his eyes as he presses his forehead against Eoin's, a faint smile pulling at his lips at how Eoin gently rubs their noses together, “We'll always have this, no matter what happens tonight. You understand me?” He says, leaning back just far enough to look Eoin in the eye as he speaks.

Eoin just nods, and for the first time in a very long time, he looks his age; a mere twenty years old. He looks unbearably young, and he looks scared. It's enough to make him wish that he hadn't fucked up their chances of going to Burma.

“If by some miracle we survive this whole thing, I'm going to take you back to Ireland.” He murmurs, “We'll go to fucking.. Connemara, somewhere far away, and we can get ourselves a little house out by the ocean.”
