Reblogging for two reasons: One, this is my alt account and want the same thing posted here, two, since my Lunar/ Cosmos is disconnected from canon (belonging to an AU made long before the changes), As of now he will be referred to as Lunar, just as Earth/Terra, theres no disrespect to the name, and when referring to Canon It will be Cosmos and Terra. Much like Earth, Lunar just doesnt feel connected to the name as its not what he knows as of current.

In order for my Lunars name to change, I would have to write that into my AU, which Im not that inclined to do as of current as Im a big sucker "pick a name for a character and keep that way no matter how stupid it is" (obviously doesnt apply to humans, but if youre making a public brand I feel that its a bad idea to change it as itll confuse people, If I didnt know he was now called Cosmos and I saw everyone calling him Cosmos I would be like: What the fuck??)

My feelings towards the name change may alter with time too, I know when Nexus first changed his name I was real careful about it because I didnt like it, but once I got use to it I liked it

To be fair, Nexus is different since at the time I was *very* much trying to convince myself New moon was Old moon, and was trying to pretend old moon never died XD

Is it just me or is the name changing thing pissing anyone else off? Terra I understand, we having known her as earth for that long, but Cosmos now being called that? Like- “Lunar” is OG, and its doesn’t seem to be to prevent confusion like the others (like Nice eclipse being Solar, or the “new puppet” being Charlie (I don’t watch EaPS so idk the situation with that)). It does not feel like the sun and moon show anymore, and to be fair, it hasn’t in a while. It’s changed a lot, and while I like the show still, we’re never going to have the same vibes as first year SaMS, and it’s sad. And it really makes me just want to leave the fandom…

the new name and how it affects us

It doesn't, Earth, or as she's now going by Terra, will be respected in her canon form, however as of right now, My Earth does not wish to change her name.

So she'll be referred to as Terra in reference to the shows, however shell continue to be Earth in terms of my identity. If she changes her mind and maybe wants to try terra well give it a go

I want to empathize this is not suppose to be disrespectful to canon Terra, we like the name, but Earth is also behind canon as of right now so even then that might be why
