Hey. Been a while. Slowly getting the MAKAI SENKI project off the ground again after a couple years in hiatus. Also been getting back to scanning more of my Disgaea collection. With the project reawakening, I’ve decided to publicly open the official discord server for MAKAI SENKI! You’re free to join via this link, just be sure to read the rules first! Oh hey.

I’ll be honest. I’ve. More or less completely forgot I even had an account here.

I got some bad news, unfortunately. The MAKAI SENKI project has been at a standstill for a year now since my drive to work on it has been dwindling. I do plan on scanning the rest of the stuff I have at a later date, but it’s not in the cards at the moment. I have to be in a mindset to work on that stuff. I’m sorry.

In lighter news, I’m going to attempt to be more active on my Twitter. Currently planning on quick livetweets of bad games I have in my romsets. Also may do some variety stuff on twitter too.

So uh. Give it a follow if you want. Or not. Up to you!

Been on the backburner for a while, but since I’m easing back into doing stuff for MAKAI SENKI, have a gift! Sorry this took so long!

Here’s the DNA Media Comics Disgaea 4koma collection scanned in its entirety (well, save for print ads and some other superficial things). Currently not translated, but it is cleaned up and in 600 dpi for those who wish to use the scans for whatever. You can nab it here!

If anyone’s willing to work on a translation project for this or any other future scanned comics/novels, i’d be more than happy to help edit! Till then, enjoy! EDIT: Lost access to my old MEGA, so I updated the link. Luckily this was the only thing I had on the drive, but still, remember to back up your keys, guys.

Makai Wars just released on Android (in Japan only) and as a huge fan of Disgaea I’ll be checking it out. Makai Wars is a simplified Strategy Roleplaying Game much like Disgaea (and half of NIS’ other games), and it’s Asagi’s very own game! For real this time! No really, stop laughing!

... Well, one out of like five so far, but making progress at least. Still got half the book to go through, and I gotta resize and touch up stuff. No plans on translation YET.

Easing back into work on MAKAI SENKI after a long break. Still early on, but making good progress. Still need to find a decent image to use as a profile img, but you can see the full page here. Hoping to flesh out the character pages for other D1 characters soon.

Also got a discord server for the project in the works. Close to done, but I doubt I’ll make the link public since I’d rather keep things on some level of professionality since MAKAI SENKI’s a pretty involved project. Send me an ask if you’re interested, I guess??

Nippon Ichi Software president Sohei Niikawa commented on the company going forward into 2018, and he commented on the state of Disgaea 5 Complete sales, as well as the company’s main platforms going forward. [Thanks, Inside Games!]

Here are the highlights:

Thanks to the game selling well in North America, Europe, and Asia in late 2017, the Nintendo Switch version of Disgaea 5 managed to sell nearly 200,000 copies.

They will continue expanding into the consumer games market with new IPs and sequels to existing IPs with PS4 and Nintendo Switch as the main platforms.

There are also announced apps that are in development.

July 12, 2018 is Nippon Ichi Software’s 25th anniversary. There will be events, goods and new games to celebrate the event and thank the fans, which are currently being prepared.

Please continue to support Nippon Ichi Software, which turns 25 this year!

Disgaea 5 Complete is available for Nintendo Switch.
