How the heck do you manage everyday life when a very strong trigger is such an everyday thing that's everywhere?

I have postpartum depression alongside ptsd and a huge trigger for me is other people's pregnancies and newborns particularly

I had a high risk pregnancy, traumatic birth and traumatic newborn period which has extended beyond into the first year due to issues accessing medical care for my sick baby. Apparently taking a newborn 200miles on public transport for a blood test is appropriate according to our Health board

So we're back home after being away and I'm hoping I can focus on some writing stuff again

I don't think I ever said but we were away for our little baby to have an heart operation. She had a slight complication but doing fine now and is now two weeks post op

So a while ago I said I wanted to make a collection of H2O merchandise for the mature audience/merch that is not automatically clockable as H2O themed. After dropping a Bella & the Band design, it was very well received and I started working on a few more things... So, today's the day!

The Life I Was Promised / H2hoe Water Bottle

These first two are inspired by some of the posts and memes on my page. The minute I wrote that line with Cleo in the bath I found it hilarious, and it was indeed a very popular post. The water bottle design says "Stay hydrated, you h2hoe" with the H2hoe shoe logo on the bottle, for the keen eyed.

Mako Island Tours / Greetings from Mako Island

These two were meant to be like, holiday souvenirs from your trip to the Gold Coast. One from a "business" of boat tours around Mako, while the other is more in postcard style.

Rikki's Café / JuiceNet

These two were tricky to come up with, cause restaurants don't really have merchandise. I made a mock up receipt from each cafe (including some references in the listed items 👀). You're gonna confuse a lot of people bout why you're wearing a receipt on your shirts, but if they know, they know.

No Ordinary Girl Form / Full Moon Spell

These were also semi-inspired by the memes on this page. The first one is a job application form, with some memorable lyrics :)

And of course, no one can hold you accountable for full moon fever, girlboss.

Bella & the Band #1 and #2

These two were posted here before, so I'm just gonna quickly mention if you missed 'em. First one is a tour merch for whatever fictional tour apparently happened during the summer of 2011. The other design is more of a poster with all band members and song titles.

Days 26-29 of Femslash Feb have been posted. Thank you to everyone who's read/requested/liked/reblogged/commented etc on all my little drabbles this year.

I'm honestly really surprised I managed to finish them all this year. Who knows if I get too bored while away I may try and go back and do 2023's prompts XD I am currently still going through all my extracts and sorting them to upload but not sure how active I will be over the next little while with us being away and whatnot

Mako Mermaids F/Feb Day 29 White

Day 29 White, Rita/Veridia 316 words, Rated G

The white glow of the pearls strung around Veridia’s hair looked like the stars in the night, the silver thread tying them together, and woven around her braids like tiny rivers almost lost in the coppery gold strands. Silver bands, identical to the one’s Rita herself were wearing adorned her wrists and forearms, the metal held together by more pearls some as old as Mako itself, if legends were to be believed. 

As the Full Moon’s light slowly illuminated the cavern, Rita took Veridia’s hand. Cordelia, one of the other Higher Council Mermaids, began the traditional vows of the Pod as she tied a strip of glimmering fabric around their hands. 

Rita repeated her words back, then Veridia. 

The Moon reached it’s peak and the Moon Pool came to life, surges of magic bursting upwards sending ripples of white water across the cavern. 

Cordelia tied the last knot and glided backwards. 

Rita kissed Veridia under the glowing Moon, the power of Mako and of the Moon binding them together for as long as their souls swam under this Moon and long into the Eternal Night beyond. 

They broke apart as the Moon Pool stilled and the Moon’s light passed, it’s descent beginning and marking the end of the celebrations. 

The Mermaid one anyways, the private ceremony for just them. 

Later that night, lying in each other’s arms they watched the Moon sink lower and lower in the sky from the bed. 

“Ready to do this all again?” Rita asked. Her mind drifted to her dress hanging in the spare room, white tulle, white lace, nice and safe in it’s white bag on a silk white hanger. 

“I can’t wait.” 

She knew Veridia had a special dress too, hidden in Nerissa’s room. It was very much a land thing but she couldn’t wait to see her wife in her wedding dress, whether it was white or not.
