This is incredibly characteristic behavior for Napoleon. He just sits there and Illya has to dress in the outfit and steer the gondola.

Episode Four of Our Mutual Friend (1958).  

Because this adaption is trying to include every character and subplot (hey, we’re talking about Dickens here) David McCallum didn’t appear in Episode Three.  In spite of this I’m still enjoying this series.
