Ginny sat on her bed stitching up a hole in her quidditch uniform. When the door opened she looked up. “Got made Quidditch Captain. Guess McGonagall knows you three aren’t coming back this year.” She said softly. “It’s starting to feel real.” Ginny looked back down.

Marlene smirked. "So." She nudged Treat. "What happened between you and Sirius over break? Don't even try to deny it. I saw you two at the party at the end of term. I was there, flirting with Pandora, miserably I might add, alas I am not the beautiful blonde her heart belongs too." The girl chuckled.

"So tell me. I'm dying for some gossip. So is Prongs. He practically begged me to get something out of you." She laughed.

It was Christmas Eve. The first Christmas since. Remus was alone. It was the first Christmas he had spent alone since he was ten. For over a decade it was his favorite holiday. This year it was the worst.

He heard a knock on his door and he set down his quill and notebook and got up to answer. He had been invited to the Porter's for dinner. Roxanna was insistent he go to meet Janey. He could not bring himself to go.

"I said that I wasn't feeling well-" He said opening the door expecting Roxanna herself or Clay. "Treat?" He questioned. The last he'd seen her they'd argued. Remus knew she was right. Deep down he did. He just didn't know what happened. How it had happened. "Happy Christmas."
