I find Genshin skins interesting bc on the one hand while I like them I don’t think Jean, Lisa, Fischl, or Barbara’s skins are better to the point that I wouldn’t ever switch to back their normal ones but Kaeya and Diluc are never going to be in their standard outfits again and 75% of it is just their hairstyles in the skins.

I spent a solid hour today thinking about how while it won’t ever happen I would absolutely love if we got a Tokyo Mirage Sessions 2 of some sort.

My luck in the past 24 hours has been scarily good. I got Lyney, and then both Yelan’s bow and Diluc’s Claymore came home early on the weapon and standard banners respectively.

I’m playing through Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch for the first time whilst I’m impatiently waiting for Fontaine to come out and I’m once again reminded that I really should watch more Ghibli movies bc I think I’ve only watched Spirited Away and that was at least a decade ago at this point.

I’m in that period of waiting for a thing where I can’t maintain interest in other things, like yeah I could keep playing Elden Ring or Final Fantasy Type-0 but I’ve lost any interest in them because I just want Fontaine to be here and to explore it.

My mismatched genshin characters and weapons and why they have them.

1. He’s a puppet made by the shogun.

2. He does mention ice fishing in a voice line but honestly he seems like the kinda guy who would use the corpse of an extinct fish as a bow.

3. The Cloud Atlas symbolizes Venti & Dvalin, given her ties to Albedo who is related to a dragon and the fact that Venti made the wind blow for her during one of the festivals it seems fitting.

4. Thoma works in Inazuma, plus red + blue = purple so it works as a reference to Thoma/Ayato.

5. The bright orange/gold doesn’t go with her colors but she looks cool with it, I’d fully buy it as a yugioh situation where it’s an ancient powerful artifact that she is just using so it is supposed to be different from her.

6. It’s an old Windblume Festival(Valentines basically) gift from Jean that he has still.

7. It’s a nod to her friendship with Collei, even beyond it being green the description says it belonged to a hunter who lived in the forest and Collei is a forest ranger.

8. It’s just a very good weapon for her and her second in command is Gorou who is Geo and has brown hair so it kinda matches him!
