I really really hope I’m not assuming something that didn't happen and actually hallucinating, but I hate how Biana’s initial reason to hate Sophie was because she wasn’t the prettiest, most-talked-about anymore. Why do beauty and social standards have to be drilled into CHILDREN in a society where everyone is naturally beautiful? Why does there have to be a most beautiful person in school? Imagine an eleven-year-old reading the first book, seeing Biana act like this, and get forgiven at the end for “all that she did”. Bad example.

and I know that Biana really wanted someone to see her as a person and not a tool to get her brother, but without making new friends (since that’s the only way she met Dex) it was never going to happen. She’s been with the same bunch of people since she was little, and I don’t think it was said that people actually transferred TO Foxfire from another school. If money doesn’t get you in, then there’s no reason not to go to Foxfire from the start.

and in the books, Biana was pretty comfortable with her friend group (even though I headcannoned otherwise), not really bothering to talk to anyone else. Sooner or later, she was going to have to accept the fact that no boy was suddenly going to notice her even if she kept being the prettiest.

I read over all of this and realized how much I’m hating on Biana ☠️ but again, I just beef with how Shannon wrote all of the Vackers in book one. Biana shall be one of my favorites as long as I can acknowledge how she was done dirty in the first book.

I’m thinking about big three kids being influenced by their own powers

Percy being quicker to panic because he accidentally influences his own blood to rush faster. Jason who often feels like he can’t breathe because he’s altering the air pressure around himself constantly, or when he’s flying, he accidentally displaces some of the air in his own lungs and can’t inhale for a second. Thalia afraid of heights because her demigod instincts constantly tell her to take flight, leave the ground, while her human instincts scream she’ll die if she does that. Hazel and Nico both being cold and tired all the time because their bodies have naturally slower heart rates that are VERY difficult to raise. Hazel can’t wear earrings because she accidentally rips them out when she gets stressed. Nico used his powers to heal his own broken bones too often and now when he raises a skeleton, his own bones ache like he’s got arthritis in every joint.
