the mask of pride

finished piece for a school project.

as the title says it represents the sin pride. i admit, i struggle with this project because thinking of original character designs for the seven deadly sins is hard and falling into tropes that are often used for each sin is pretty easy to do even though I try to avoid it .

so, this piece came to me after a bit of research about the sin pride itself. i did find a website talking about people who are very prideful, to a harmful extent, are just very insecure on the inside. the golden mask and jewellry and the purple robes should also be kind of show that this sin, this personification of pride, dresses itself in royal colors (because purple was a very expensive color back in your olden days) and golden jewellries to hide their insecure self and become this prideful and egocentric persona they made up for themselves.

wrath is currently in the making and i do have more ideas for the other sins, also ideas on how they could interact with eachother, but i have to finish my wrath piece first to really expand on this idea more. and time too. god, do I need time.
