- this username is actually a combination of one of my fav dancer's names, her real name, and her stage name.

🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction? 

- I first got into it by just reading. Then I gave writing a shot and realized it was actually really fun, so I wrote some social media AUs on Twitter back in early 2022. (which is btw so hard to do, so i stopped mid 2022) I didn’t start uploading to AO3 until last year.

“What's wrong?” Jane immediately asked as she buckled herself in. 

Nymphia opened her mouth a few times to speak, hesitating, before sighing, “I get, um, really nervous before games.”

“Usually it's not this bad,” Anetra chimed in. “Is it because it's the first game after… an interesting finale last year?” 

“I guess.” Nymphia shrugged, still closed off in the way she moved. Her shoulders were tense; something was wrong. Jane could feel it.

“Well, like, you have nothing to be nervous about,” she tried. “If it's any help at all, you know we're all here for you.” 

“Thanks,” Nymphia smiled, if a little timid.

“And, y’know, I'm here for you,” Jane said, not really knowing why she needed Nymphia to know that last part.

wip wednesday - planymphia hockey au

we're getting there guys!! it'll defo be another few weeks at the least tho BUT here is a little bit for y'all!!

However, before she got the response, she was chosen as a victim by the team's designated chaos goblin, her wonderful linemate, Dawn.

The shorter girl shrieked. “Jane, who are you texting that has you smiling like this?” 

A few of the girls in the room paused, obviously having their attention stolen like a bunch of drama-hungry vultures. One of those girls just happened to be Nymphia, and Jane didn’t want her thinking that there was someone that she was sneakily texting, someone who could make Jane smile other than her. 

“Oh, just my roommate,” she said, because it’s not like she actually was texting someone suspicious. 

“Your ‘roommate’ huh?” Dawn nodded comically slowly. Idiot. “I see, I see. 

“Yes,” Jane rolled her eyes, “actually, aren’t you and Amanda roommates?”

Dawn gaped back at her while Amanda, who just heard her name, scoffed.

“That is none of your business!” 

“Okay, so tell your roommate to lay off, then, Mandy,” Jane said. Her phone buzzed, but she ignored it and shoved it back into her bag. “She’s the one who brought it up.”

“Mandy!” Dawn cackled at the name. “Wait, that’s kinda cute.”

And, suddenly, the attention was gracefully passed on to someone who wasn’t her. Without her phone, Jane was able to take in the locker room, and she found that the attention wasn’t completely taken from her; Nymphia, of all people, was staring at her. 

When Jane made eye contact, though, the other girl looked away, starting to adjust the laces on her skates. Jane swallowed, looking down at the floor. Nymphia was definitely acting strange, there was no doubt about it. Whether it was just a really intense version of first game nerves or something more, well, she didn’t know. 

The only thing she did know was that she hated the fact that Nymphia couldn’t make eye contact with her.
