So some Rehthulians are in space?

[[Hello friend! Mara-mod here, and I wanted to apologize that it took some time to see your question. I don’t visit here much.

Short answer: Yes!

Long answer: No.

The rest of this will be under a read more, in case it gets a bit lengthy.]]

[[The short answer is yes: Asha-mod and I used our characters that debuted here in a space universe.

The long answer is no: There are no Rehthulians in space (unless you or a friend puts them there!). At least in the sense that Asha-mod and I’s characters are no longer Rehthulians. I personally never used that species name, even when I was active in the Journey community, because there were so many diverse species/characters, and a lot of people had their own names before that term came to light. But that’s semantics, and I digress.

But the thing is, as Asha-mod and I retired our characters from this community. We tried RPing them in different communities, and nothing ever stuck. But along with a few of the friends we had made in this community, we played with the idea of our babies in a space universe. And it stuck. Asha-mod and I made the decision that the space universe would be their canon background from then on. So Mara, Asha, Tenzin, Basira, Idris, and Sabrin all got their own original, canon universe. The original concepts for them were ones we loved, and wanted to continue using; only the Journey universe was not ours to claim. (It was a wonderful sandbox to play in, and we adore it so, but it is, and never will be, our own) So while they began life as fancharacters of a sort, they now have their own universe and background with which to play in. They come from different planets, different backgrounds, and have developed according to their worlds there. We created them, and now we’ve created a home for them.

They can now be found at @goodmorningstarshinecomic in case you would like to read about their adventures. The Journey community will always hold an extra special place in our hearts, but it is no longer home.

[An old post, but well worth the reblog.

I’ve noticed some new followers appearing, and I may yet have some older friends still hovering ‘round. While Mara no longer plays a part in this ‘verse, he and my other darlings, including Idris, Basira, and Sabrin, have a new home along with @thecrimsonwayfarer ‘s babies at @goodmorningstarshinecomic.

It’s space, pirates, lots of laughter, action, and maybe some romance! Aliens, and ships, and as ever, a lot of adventure.

As of December 2015, Asha-mod and I began embarking on a new Journey, in a new world, all our own. We invite you to join us, and keep us company as we make this new trek.

The first time he feels fingers press against his palm and recognizes the motion, he gasps. The figure in front of him pauses, and he’s sure he can feel the raised eyebrow.

“Asha! Asha, I know what that means!” A little twitch of motion is his reply, and then another stillness, urging him to explain. A wide smile spreads across Mara’s face and he answers quickly, “It means friend.” His hands are clasped tightly, and he knows they’re sporting matching grins. It’s the first sign he’s been able to translate since he asked to learn an easier language for her.
