So I made a character based on Alice tmagp for a horror ttrpg based on a combination of Silent Hill and Outlast (e.g. entering a ~spooky area~ to investigate and finding that your traumas and fears have manifested, which I thought would be an interesting idea for a character like Alice). We did combat for the first time last session, and things went INTERESTINGLY.

Round one

Alice went first in the initiative and chose to hold her action until the monster approached them. There was only one other player between her and the monster in turn order (Alice -> character -> monster -> etc). So she assumed it would charge them.

Instead, the next person in initiative decided to charge IT and whack it with their makeshift weapons. She did such an absurd amount of damage that the monster chose to stay where it was and focus on her.

Literally the entire rest of the party followed suit, running over to beat the shit out of this monster. Leaving poor Alice like "OH WE'RE JUMPING IT??"

Round two.

For context, we realized water was the monster's weakness, so we put together spray bottles full of water. Alice took this turn to run up and spray the monster. And this is where we learn that it needs to be specifically running water. So that did ✨️nothing ✨️

Then the monster got hit enough that it decided to put up an illusion copying another player ('shoot him, not me' style).

...Alice rolled a -1 to tell which one is real (Nat 1, plus modifier).

Round three.

Thank god the illusion got dropped before her turn, because she would have attacked the wrong one (was planning on just hitting the one that was closer to her).

Alice has to slip through the party, who is now crowded around the monster, beating the shit out of it like that JJBA meme. In her effort to scoot through, she smacks at least one of them with the stick she has tucked into her belt as a makeshift weapon. She fumbles with her weapon because the loops were not -in fact- 'easy storage.' Then she finally rolls to hit. And misses.

The monster had 2 hp left. It died to the next attack

End combat

At least she got a 'you tried your best' from the party.

I'm so sorry for making Alice a girlfailure in a fight. I can not tell if it's canon accurate or not.

Btw I wanna say something that I don't think I've seen anyone point out with episodes 38 and 40 of Protocol.

[Really fucked up warning with accidental cannibalism that I mean... They probably wouldn't go this far, but I REALLY don't like the implication]

In episode 40, it's mentioned that the kid's parents always pay the price in situations with Heinrich Unheimlich. In episode 38, the kid mentions at the end that she made a ham sandwich while her mom is gone, but that it didn't taste quite right. Now if I'm remembering this right, I've heard a lot of people say that humans,,, taste like slightly off pork,,, 😬

My roommate and I just collaborated to make the most Fucked Up Funny Little TMA guy (they dont know tma so their contributions are exponentially funnier than mine).

However. I already have one tma oc ask blog for a Funny Little Guy. I kinda wanna make a secondary one for him. He has fewer Jokes/Bits/Rp-Ideas and would probably be far less active than Cass's.

General idea of the Signalis CoD au (taking extreme liberties with Signalis lore) is that what would people do if Replikas degraded and actually attacked people? Surely no normal person would be able to handle an angry Replika, so they have suppression units for worst case scenarios. Each suppression replika is made with certain entities in mind. And each member of the unit is treated very differently from normal replikas because it helps the suppression team be more accurate and willing to help if they have bits and pieces of their gestalt memories and think they're the only one of them in existence :)

(Note: Units will degrade rapidly if they find out the truth)

I feel like the fears are a lot more interconected in protocol,for example in 33 there is clearly the influence of what would have bean the stranger and the vast but they are a lot more colaborative,there is no direct oposition like in magnus,it seems that what brought the fears to this world also unified them more than their original shape in the magnus universe.
